I never watched the original, because I was too young for it, but my childhood was filled by Phineas and Ferb in the earlier years, and Teen Titans Go in the later years. I still have a soft spot for it, but I totally understand why people wouldn’t like it. It’s really chaotic, and quite the frenzy most of the time, but I enjoyed the chaos. It was just a lot of fun to watch as a kid.
Yeah, same here too, also i am quite sure due to it's obnoxious schedule it killed several shows due to it being over exposed, like the ThunderCats reboot for example. 🤷♂️
Honestly, the reason I can't stand Teen Titans Go is because of the characters. Everyone, in my eyes, became so unlikeable, it's like they took everyone's worst character traits and cranked it up to 100. I feel this is most seen in Robin, where his tendency, in the original series, to be a bit controlling gets blown WAY out of proportion, to the point where it makes me mad, he's just so unlikeable, and it makes me upset. Beast Boy and Cyborg aren't the worst but there is still that element of over exaggeration. Raven is a bit worse, mostly because I can't believe anything she does anymore. Finally, Starfire's Naïvate is no longer endearing, it's worrying and annoying. Funnily enough, I don't hate the writing, it's pretty standard for some run of the mill TV show. It's just the characters are so unlikeable. But hey, at the end of the day, it's my opinion

I knew TTG was gonna be bad, I went in with incredibly low expectations, willing to give it a fair chance and not judge it based on the original, and I was still disappointed. watching the show made me feel physically ill, it got to the point where I literally threw up and just felt so depressed watching it. TTG completely brought back my depression and undid years worth of progress and mental growth. so instead I watched wander over yonder and the sexy green girl made me happy again.
TTG Isn't bad, it's not anywhere near the level of the original, but it isn't bad, it's just different than the original. TTG is mad for a difference Audience. I feel that people need to get over the fact that it's not gonna be the same as the original.

Tedds The Dog The first few episodes or seasons (I forget) I watched then the characters started losing something. It felt like all of the characters were dumb except for one or two then they save the day by doing something dumb from some made up villain. Feels like wacky hijinks like new Spongebob episodes with no order other than caricatures of the og show. I mean I like when dumb random things happen, hell I could rewatch all the Steven Universe filler episodes, but nowadays Teen Titans Go feels to cartoon-ish, feels like what they did to Ok KO later on.
I’m on OG fan and the Go series ticked me off and makes me sad to this day. I’m more so mad and sad at the fact that kids today will never get to experience the epicness that was the original series the way I did as a kid. The go series feels like it underestimates kids maturity today. Hell, maybe the go series was made because the original series was deemed as ‘too much’ by todays parents so the network decided to please them instead. I don’t know. I did watch the teen titans go vs teen titans movie and was pleased about the awareness both sides had towards each other. It felt like a modern day blast from the past that did indeed lean towards the go series, but not enough for me to stop watching it. All i know is that if I for whatever reason have a child or kids, I’d watch the original series with them alongside other series I loved like Avatar the last airbender, the power puff girls, etc. alongside modern cartoons way into the future.

After I heard the arguments against TTG I kinda started hating it too. Rerunning it into the ground isn’t a very good idea. (Plus focusing more on comedy more than action. actually seeing certain episodes yeah the comedy... is subpar.)

Yeah! I grew up watching Teen titans with my brother as a kid, and teen titans go came out when I was in middle school. Me and my friend used to sing the 'Oh! it's time! To get reallyreallyreally SERIOUS!' song from TTG in fifth grade. Then I saw Teen titans on Toonami (which somehow still existed in 2016) and I LOVED it. I loved it for being serious with real stakes, had great jokes, and it's lovely. Nostalgic, yup, and as someone who loved superheroes, this show is awesome! Revisiting Teen titans go in high school felt weird, but hey, it's not so bad. (The newer episodes were awful, but I don't hate TTG with a passion, I honestly don't care whether it exists or not) Teen titans will always be the superior show. Teen titans go is clearly for a younger demographic and obviously won't appeal to some people.

usually I agree with you. But as a fan of the old teen Titans I thoroughly enjoyed teen Titans go vs. Teen Titans. I thought it was really great. it was an amazing experience to be able to sit down with my nine-year-old brother, (I'm 20) who loves teen Titans go and both of us got to bond over a show we both love. I got to tell him all the amazing things I loved about the OG teen Titans, while growing to understand why he liked the new ones so much.
I rly liked Teen Titan and of course I’m not a fan of Teen Titans Go!, but I won’t lie that it does have some funny things in it to the point where I’m actually laughing. So I wouldn’t say it’s like a total nightmare, but it’s not that good either. But here’s another thing abt it, shows now aren’t rly meant for older audiences anymore. Yes we adults can watch them, but we’re not their targets. And yes we can say that they should at least respect the past and take inspiration from it which I completely agree to this!! But these guys didn’t do that and they don’t care it seems like or they literally wanted to go into another direction, so we just gota accept that and move on from this.

I always hated the humor of Teen Titans Go. It was mostly just them screaming and a bunch of potty humor. But recently I sat down and watched some of the episodes and enjoyed them. They actually made some funny jokes, mostly focusing on Robin and how he is a bit of a loser.
I was that one kid that everyone was scared of because of the weird stuff I liked. "I like professor X because if I were him I'd kill all non mutant human!" "I like Raven because she's a demon and could destroy the known universe, but she doesn't! How nice!"
When TTG was first announced, I was willing to give it a chance, especially after enjoying the "New Teen Titans" shorts from the DC Nation block. And while it has some entertaining moments and a solid art style, I found the overall show to be more annoying than anything else. That's not to say I'm against reboots of beloved properties taking new directions, since it allows creators to expand on those past ideas and add new material to said IP. However, it needs to work well with its original counterpart and still emphasize some modicum of respect for it. And since TTG is obviously mostly based on the 2003 Teen Titans series, the super random humor and bratty portrayals of the titans didn't sit well with me. And don't get me started on the critic-bashing episodes.
I’ve gotten out of TTG lately, but enjoyed it for most of its run. Other than the fart jokes it’s generally pretty funny. I still quote it from time to time. The episodes where they taught a joke lesson were the best. Like the one about real estate investments.
Honestly, I thought the Judas Contract movie was pretty good. It's the same story that the TT cartoon covers with Terra, but they're able to be even more adult about how Slade gets Terra wrapped around his finger, and I think that helps it make more sense. They treat Terra less as a lost good person randomly deciding to be a villain because she hates herself and more as a teen who just doesn't understand how deep some villains might go to manipulate a person. Am I in the minority for thinking that's a better way to tell that part of the story?
If I’m honest I really like the reboot, I think I enjoy funny things over action. I love story and action, things of the sort though I love TTG! I think it’s funny and I started watching TTG before I even knew the original existed so I think that’s why I like it so much.
I was like 7 when TTG came out and it was MY FAVORITE. I just loved it so much and it became my life. I never really got into the original because by the time I was old enough to understand it, I was out of my Teen Titans phase. But TTG will forever hold a special place in my heart

End of the video: teen titans go and teen titans were extremely memorable
I knew TTG was gonna be bad, I went in with incredibly low expectations, willing to give it a fair chance and not judge it based on the original, and I was still disappointed. watching the show made me feel physically ill, it got to the point where I literally threw up and just felt so depressed watching it. TTG completely brought back my depression and undid years worth of progress and mental growth. so instead I watched wander over yonder and the sexy green girl made me happy again.

TTG Isn't bad, it's not anywhere near the level of the original, but it isn't bad, it's just different than the original. TTG is mad for a difference Audience. I feel that people need to get over the fact that it's not gonna be the same as the original.

Tedds The Dog The first few episodes or seasons (I forget) I watched then the characters started losing something. It felt like all of the characters were dumb except for one or two then they save the day by doing something dumb from some made up villain. Feels like wacky hijinks like new Spongebob episodes with no order other than caricatures of the og show. I mean I like when dumb random things happen, hell I could rewatch all the Steven Universe filler episodes, but nowadays Teen Titans Go feels to cartoon-ish, feels like what they did to Ok KO later on.
I’m on OG fan and the Go series ticked me off and makes me sad to this day. I’m more so mad and sad at the fact that kids today will never get to experience the epicness that was the original series the way I did as a kid. The go series feels like it underestimates kids maturity today. Hell, maybe the go series was made because the original series was deemed as ‘too much’ by todays parents so the network decided to please them instead. I don’t know. I did watch the teen titans go vs teen titans movie and was pleased about the awareness both sides had towards each other. It felt like a modern day blast from the past that did indeed lean towards the go series, but not enough for me to stop watching it. All i know is that if I for whatever reason have a child or kids, I’d watch the original series with them alongside other series I loved like Avatar the last airbender, the power puff girls, etc. alongside modern cartoons way into the future.

After I heard the arguments against TTG I kinda started hating it too. Rerunning it into the ground isn’t a very good idea. (Plus focusing more on comedy more than action. actually seeing certain episodes yeah the comedy... is subpar.)
That's my main problem with TTG. And that's more of the fault of CN then the show itself.
Ligtning Dog Yeah that’s a major problem. There’s 3 things that tick off almost all old fans. 1. Leaving the cliff hanger for a reboot. 2. Making reruns basically Teen Titans is CN now. 3. I’m pretty sure if you fixed those 2 things and if they complete the series and didn’t rerun it to the ground, it would be a fine show for kids. No one would be complianing

To be honest, teen titans go isn’t that bad. Probably because I watched back then and I LOVED it. It’s a little weird watching now but, you know lol.
Yeah! I grew up watching Teen titans with my brother as a kid, and teen titans go came out when I was in middle school. Me and my friend used to sing the 'Oh! it's time! To get reallyreallyreally SERIOUS!' song from TTG in fifth grade.
Then I saw Teen titans on Toonami (which somehow still existed in 2016) and I LOVED it. I loved it for being serious with real stakes, had great jokes, and it's lovely. Nostalgic, yup, and as someone who loved superheroes, this show is awesome!
Revisiting Teen titans go in high school felt weird, but hey, it's not so bad. (The newer episodes were awful, but I don't hate TTG with a passion, I honestly don't care whether it exists or not)

I actually love ttgo as well. And never understood the hate, to me they are like a PG Version of South Park, of the wall rude, crude and lewd. But to me it feels real and the parody and satire of things like comics, Politics, history and life.

I liked the show when I was a kid but rewatching some of the clips I only now realise why my older brother hated it so much
usually I agree with you. But as a fan of the old teen Titans I thoroughly enjoyed teen Titans go vs. Teen Titans. I thought it was really great. it was an amazing experience to be able to sit down with my nine-year-old brother, (I'm 20) who loves teen Titans go and both of us got to bond over a show we both love. I got to tell him all the amazing things I loved about the OG teen Titans, while growing to understand why he liked the new ones so much.

I rly liked Teen Titan and of course I’m not a fan of Teen Titans Go!, but I won’t lie that it does have some funny things in it to the point where I’m actually laughing. So I wouldn’t say it’s like a total nightmare, but it’s not that good either. But here’s another thing abt it, shows now aren’t rly meant for older audiences anymore. Yes we adults can watch them, but we’re not their targets. And yes we can say that they should at least respect the past and take inspiration from it which I completely agree to this!! But these guys didn’t do that and they don’t care it seems like or they literally wanted to go into another direction, so we just gota accept that and move on from this.

I always hated the humor of Teen Titans Go. It was mostly just them screaming and a bunch of potty humor. But recently I sat down and watched some of the episodes and enjoyed them. They actually made some funny jokes, mostly focusing on Robin and how he is a bit of a loser.
You see? You should give cartoons a chance instead of just hating them with no reason! People like it which is why it has a lot of episodes

When TTG was first announced, I was willing to give it a chance, especially after enjoying the "New Teen Titans" shorts from the DC Nation block. And while it has some entertaining moments and a solid art style, I found the overall show to be more annoying than anything else.
That's not to say I'm against reboots of beloved properties taking new directions, since it allows creators to expand on those past ideas and add new material to said IP. However, it needs to work well with its original counterpart and still emphasize some modicum of respect for it. And since TTG is obviously mostly based on the 2003 Teen Titans series, the super random humor and bratty portrayals of the titans didn't sit well with me. And don't get me started on the critic-bashing episodes.
I’ve gotten out of TTG lately, but enjoyed it for most of its run. Other than the fart jokes it’s generally pretty funny. I still quote it from time to time.
The episodes where they taught a joke lesson were the best. Like the one about real estate investments.
Honestly, I thought the Judas Contract movie was pretty good. It's the same story that the TT cartoon covers with Terra, but they're able to be even more adult about how Slade gets Terra wrapped around his finger, and I think that helps it make more sense. They treat Terra less as a lost good person randomly deciding to be a villain because she hates herself and more as a teen who just doesn't understand how deep some villains might go to manipulate a person. Am I in the minority for thinking that's a better way to tell that part of the story?

If I’m honest I really like the reboot, I think I enjoy funny things over action. I love story and action, things of the sort though I love TTG! I think it’s funny and I started watching TTG before I even knew the original existed so I think that’s why I like it so much.

I was like 7 when TTG came out and it was MY FAVORITE. I just loved it so much and it became my life. I never really got into the original because by the time I was old enough to understand it, I was out of my Teen Titans phase. But TTG will forever hold a special place in my heart

Honestly I was never even a fan of the original teen titans. It was just barely passed my time and I never really watched it. But I still hated that show just because of the sheer amount of runtime it took up on cartoon Network for the longest time. It was pretty much the only show that was on for a while while we waited for the next Steven bombs and the next new shows I would come up and shake the formula we just had teen Titans go

I remember at some point Cartoon Network ONLY played teen titans. I remember that day clearly becuase my parents bought me a Twilight sparkle pony bag. Back then I loved that TTG marathon and I still love that show today.
