Final demo from the stream last night from ChinaJoy is for this sekiro like, open world, gacha game. Combat with bosses looks good, but Wuwa has ruined exploration for me with other gacha games. Able to run on walls speeds up exploring and makes the gameplay smooth. Slow climbing in these games just feels wrong after wuwa lol. Also as mentioned in other videos the weibo stream archive is total shite. It kept pausing and freezing during the fights, so had to cut the gameplay up here. The devs also talked a LOT. Cut the parts where they just stood and did nothing. Hopefully a demo comes out soon. I want to try it myself. There is one more night of ChinaJoy tonight, so instead of waiting for the stream archive, im just gonna watch it on bilibili and record the stream. Can get the videos out faster. Sure the archive has better quality but it keeps freezing and cutting parts sadly. enjoy!
@@Rubhen925 same lmao...wuwa does have pretty good exploration cuz of wall run.. but at the same time i also feel slow movement isn't bad either.. like zelda breath of the wild had the slowest climbing system with stamina as well.. infact there were even some hazard lvl annoying stuff like in rain if u climb.. u occasionally slip a bit while climbing.. so basically careful stamina management and finding perfect path for climbing and reaching top actually felt rewarding especially when there was chest, item or something... ofc in gacha games theres no such motivation to spend too much time on climbing.. besides mayb the first time if theres good reward... but later if u have to do that stuff for dailes or few missing chests and such.. it becomes annoying.. i'd personally love to see hybrid system like imagine u can free run everywhere with wallrun and stuff but there are specific 1 time clear area where u cant perform wallrun and have to figure out specific path even with wallrun to reach the top to get good reward.. that would be nice
i think the same, the first 2 weeks, but now, iam tired of that sistem. fast move and wallwalk are cool, but now, i had completed all maps to 100% and now, i only use this system to farm echos, and this is a tedious. without high movility farm thas will be a hell xd but use high movility to compensate cons of farming is a bad idea. and to make that worst, the fast movement has a lot of problmes and imprecitions, is wallwalk can get locked in some places, and if you go running, the character get mad and stsrt to jump all abjects, tables and box with npc or papers included, this make dificult to interactue with them. now, i return to genshin, and the more slow gamplay feel more pollish. sometimes, only running fell lack of stamin, but with some characters like yelan or xianyu, make the day if you ask me 1 month ago, i say that i prefere wuwa, now i say genshin. the same with the soulslike, years ago i prefer sekiro than ds1-2-3 but now, i prefer by far elden ring than sekiro map exploration sistem.
Gacha? As I understand it, the Chinese can't just make a AAA project. There is an example like Black Myth: Wukong, but they are prefer add a gacha system
Having Sekiro system is exciting but the basic combat leaves a lot to be desired, animations need to be improved and it needs more weight, climbing is generic and lackluster after WuWa improved upon it, if it's trying to be like a souls game; they need to look at Code Vein, you can have anime soulslike without a lot of gore and still capture that atmosphere.
Looks promising but animations and sound design in combat need a LOT of work to be comparable at least to WuWa. Also parrying seems too easy and cheap compared to Sekiro.
The parry sound is just the same like sekiro that doesn’t need to change imo, the parry it is also easy in sekiro when u parry mob & elite just spam ur parry is enuf for parry lol

It's a dead give away that someone has never played Sekiro if their only opinion of it is "ooo difficult parry." Even though the game gives you 30 fucking frames to parry. I don't know where you got "comparable to WuWa" from, Wuthering Waves has a completely different set of mechanics. Wuthering Waves is dodge based with parrying as a extra. This game is completely parry based with dodging as a extra.

Sekiro is cool not only because of parries, but complex moveset and bosses constantly trying to deceive you, you need to master timings and learn their moves, react fast because of threat and punishment. But if bosses braindead easy and player not being punished it’s pointless. Most likely going to be with these Chinese gacha/mobile games, f2p game with sekiro difficulty not going to make much money or be successful (sekiro itself made much less money than elden ring which is more nice to casual players). Even WuWa pretending to be hardcore pandering much to casual crowd, and pgr isn’t very popular either. Still I hope it would be like at least 50% of sekiro and have success.
for these types of games, what I look for the most is for enemies to not be hp sponges and for the difficulty to come from dealing with enemies' attacks rather than doing enough damage, which this game seems to be doing really well judging by the boss fight at the end. Also very glad that it has a parry system similar to sekiro which I really like. Any confirmation on whether or not it'll be a gacha?

I’m confused about the gacha elements. The trailers made the game seem (at least to me) a single player game with a main protagonist. I could be wrong; but I just expected a new souls like anime styled game, not a gacha game. (I play Honkai and ZZZ but I was hoping for another game I’d like to not be gacha focused).
was excited for this game, but watching this demo it looks really plain and kinda boring. defense break bar seems unnecessary for normal enemies and makes the fights take way too long. sound effects and animations are super plain. feels like there is no impact. climbing walls super slow is a huge pet peave of mine. on the bright side i think the characters look really great. i really like the style. i think the biggest mistake this game is making though is being so quiet about it. they NEED to start marketing NOW. they need to build their community and start getting feedback ASAP and they need to listen to said feedback. if they dont im afraid this game will be doa.

Combat looks stiff, ngl. I think the appeal of FromSoft games is that the playable character is so grounded and blends well with the environment that if you stand beside a mob, you do not look out of place... Here, the playable characters look weird. The enemies are fully armored, meanwhile, the characters here barely have any.
this game will be good with elden ring ring combat sistem, but with sekiro systen is trush. boring waitting attacks to parry a broke stance....dot fit well with anime style animations, and sometimes, during block/parry, seem like a film, long animation during lost control of combat.... i have a lot of hope when first alpha demo release, showing soulslike game with genshin impact graphics, but now, all hypa was death. the gameplay is smooth, but some animations and textures need develop. i will wait for beta, but now, i this other games will be better(in my opinion, and with my tastes)
Oh man, i was really waiting for this one. But seeing this.. What a letdown. I really hope they improve it with time. It's so many things to do here. First off, It just looks clunky as hell, not just the gameplay, but the framerate aswell in combat, looks laggy. Second, The sound design is WAY off, the clashing how swords are horrible.The climbing is like genshin and just slow as hell. Why not do it like wuwa, or sekiro? Much smoother and better. The combat looks like a wannabe sekiro but fails at the feeling of it. The parry looks so bad. But yeah. I hope they take their time with this and cook MUCH longer. Getting a sekiro/soulslike gacha would've been cool as hell. But it's not an easy task i would believe. But this will not gain popularity the way it looks right now.
