I enjoy Black Desert for the grind. I suppose you have to be the type of player that likes to grind a lot and get the dopamine hits from getting good loot. The aspect I hate about the game is PvP. The sheer unbalance of it as well as the skill gap is too much for me. Sure I love the feeling I get when someone tries taking my spot and I farm them like a mob, but those are few and far between. I also really enjoy the lifeskilling aspect. I don't really mind the mobile game stuff so long as it's not time based. Like if I want to grind for the infinite pot, I'm not limited to grinding one hour a day, I could grind 24 hours and get as many pity pieces as I want. So for me, the Heidel Ball was pretty good. I'm excited for a lot of content. Glad the PvP people can go do their Hardcore servers and leave me to grind in peace. This game is unlike any other I've ever seen or played and I love it for that reason.
I like hunting for drops too, but being physically unable to grind for prolonged periods makes that miserable. Glad that the updates are making the game better for someone.
I used to love in world PVP when I played SWTOR. You had the 2 factions and every now and then you would start a war :-). In BDO if you don't have the gear, you are instakill.
This Heidel Ball was the badest one I ever experienced and I am unlucky about the resources going into LOML 2 instead of real content. I really hope, they will not make my beloved game drying out.... I play console and we still have no Magnus teleport, winter mountain or ukulita, no herolds 4, no ator, no labreska. Console lacks resources.... but seems to have resources for LOML (the most boring content ever for me).
I feel for you guys on console. I would probably just quit if I couldn't be on pc version. The LOML is a huge let down. Maybe other regions enjoyed it, but I know us NA players didn't. No one ever goes there after completing the quests and adventure journals.
GW2 is an impressive game, and it offers a ton of stuff to do and permanent progression like BDO. The story is mostly garbage, and if you want consistent vertical progression you'll want to look elsewhere, but if you want to make the glowiest and most obnoxious weapons through genuine effort, it can be a lot of fun. If you want that glowy weapon to do more damage, however, you'll be sorely disappointed. Also in comparison to other tab-target games, the APM range between classes can be quite significant, so it isn't too hard to find something slower-paced that's fun to play over a long period, but definitely don't play elementalist...please dont play elementalist. At the very least it will allow you to escape the korean enhancement mindtrap. If you do keep playing BDO, just remember you don't have to have a max level sovereign weapon, and as long as you feel like you must have that, the mindtrap wont detach.
Thanks for the advice. I won't leave BDO, but I do get frustrated sometimes. I know it's my mindset and not the game, but I still like to complain every once in a while.

The new dr/evasion changes have made it to where you aren't an instakill any longer, but you do still need higher end gear.
