It was really awesome. I experienced my entire teen years throughout the 00's and it was probably the best decade for youth culture, second only to the 80's.
You know, it's funny. I was definitely part of the crowd of haters in the early 2000s when in came to the emo scene. Maybe some of you know how it was, a lot of us had to be edgy and vitriolic 24/7. Well, I've hit that age where you begin to look back at everything you used to scoff at, and years later I can see the value in the aesthetic and in the music. I guess it's true that you don't appreciate what's in front of you until it... isn't anymore. Hindsight is 20/20.
