This music and moment are so powerful that just the picture has audio. This is such an incredible moment.
That one instance that made me wish Beatrix could be kept as a permanent party member (without codes), because this was such an awesome moment for both her and Steiner to show how and why they lead Alexandria's finest troops. No dark Queen ambitions betraying their values, no more affiliations with Kuja's weapons of war leading atrocities under their banner, and no more ongoing hostilities between Alexandrians and the rest of the continent to weight on their hearts... Just good old fashioned kicking monster ass and keeping the city safe as General and Captain with good old elbow grease to protect the new Queen's era.
Legit my favourite theme in the entire game, Beatrix and Steiner teaming up was great and all but fighting enemies with this playing was like an encouragement and it helped because my Steiner was severely under levelled.
It helps that his ability grants him the sole damage multiplier increase of x3 instead of x1.5 in Trance.
@@MrMarket1987wow, I never knew and it makes sense though I always thought the amount of damage he dealt especially in trance was insane and considering the fact that he was at a lower level than the rest of my team
@@Fassads_Interpretor I wish Steiner had a more elaborate gain through Trance, such as enhanced parameters abroad, but frankly hitting things really REALLY hard suits the big oaf.

You would like to hope to see this song done in full at the next year's Distant Worlds.
They done IX dirty by only giving us a tease of A Place to Call Home into another short song from IX.
There is indeed a love for this game and its music, but I'm sure it's hard to just choose a song to do live from a list of a thousand songs from the great series.

Where did Kuja get all these Mistodons from? He said that he could make them with magic from the Mist, but the Mist is gone and only lingering in caves and forests, none of which are anywhere near Alexandria (and no, the petrified Evil Forest far below the cliff doesn't count)
Steiner "This is it, Beatrix."
Beatrix "I will give my all for Alexandria!"
Enough of the chauvinism and nationalism, you committed war crimes, Beatrix.
Beatrix "This is futile! Let us return to the castle!"
Steiner "No! I cannot face the princess until we destroy all these beasts. On my honor, I vow to protect the princess, the citizens of Alexandria, and..." "Beatrix! I...I shall protect you!"

Again, these two have had very little chemistry and were complaining about each other at the beginning of the game, I also forgot to mention last time that supplementary materials also revealed that Steiner was the one responsible for Beatrix loosing her eye due to a duel they had.

The moment Steiner got his manhood back.
Did he ever lose it? He was stalwart the entire way. Guy was the only retainer to go against the Queen, but still be loyal to the country. At this point of the game, he was one of the few (and his Knights of Pluto) to stand against the mist monsters when just about everything else crumbled under threat of Bahamut. This track goes hard because of it.
@@terrancecloverfield6791 what? him and his side of the military was shoved into a locker by Beatrix and then when forced by fate to leave he spent the entire trip kicking and screaming like a two year old while getting dominated by Zidane so this moment when he's fighting side by side with Beatrix as equals to defend the city that's when he got his manhood back which made for a great moment in the game
@@EddDoubleDD well......yeah....I can say your logic makes sense. He did a lot of kicking and screaming. The first 20 minutes of the game after Garnet got 'kidnapped' made that clear from the start.
Best battle theme in the game.
