What year was this song popular? Tune sounds too much like Woody Guthrie's, "This Land Is Your Land" to be coincidence. Did he lift the melody, then just add lyrics? Thanks for the rousing performance.
Guthrie actually used a different Carter Family tune for “This Land is Your Land.” He wrote the words and set them to the melody of the Carter Family’s “When The World’s On Fire.”

The Carter Family did this song back in the 30’s I’d guess. Then Earl Scruggs did it as an instrumental banjo tune in the 50’s

Nope, but it’s Greg Rich’s take on it. He wanted to make a moderne Mastertone version of Sonny’s old Pro II Custom Gold and this was the result.
