Such good memories. It is sad to see how much that we loved has either been rotten out or sold out. I miss all that we use to have replaced by traffic, traffic, traffic.

Air conditioning was the greatest disaster to ever hit Florida.

Marion County is my home. I live right near Rainbow Springs. "The Mouse" killed Rainbow Springs. It's still a great place to live. But has changed a lot.

I grew up fishing, hunting, and camping on the Withlacoochee river... It was a beautiful river and my grandparents lived on what we called the backwaters, (they had a Dunellen address and a Crystal River phone number). It was wonderful, until the environmentalist released gators there, they completely over took the river and killed everything in it!!! Last time I was there, it was a dead lake!!! But it was a great place to grow up, for a while...

I grew up in Crystal River and remember taking a school field trip to Six Guns (mid 70's maybe?)... Guess that name wouldn't fly now would it ;-) I also remember the glass bottom boats too :-) Fun time to be a child wasn't it!?! Feel kind of sorry for children today...

@@n7565j Yes I went there in 74 and don't recall all the stuff in the video. I think they might have scaled down some by that time.
