anything u wanna do is soooo expensive so u gotta have dough(which i dont have), the best example would be the owner of the ozvolvo forms and his cars are nice,
You're talking LHD cars in a RHD country which is right next to Asia - it's only natural that Australians gravitated more towards Jap cars (+ domestic cars of course).
@@jarrynsmith they’re are club around aus plenty of passionate people, just getting expensiveeee, trying to get a manual setup rn and it’s coming to 1.5 times what I paid for the car
@jigglypuff 25 I've always wanted to build a decent street car like miss puff just for the experience, Volvo's seem so interchangeable through the years the and rewarding to build and drive, the cars im used to break when you fix them
the body style , engine , transmission, interior are well on point . The paint is not what i would think of doing and the wheels i have never seen before anywhere. It looks really good
Siiiiick! My 780 has Turbo+ and I'm turbo-16V manual swapping it. I just lowered it on my channel for under $100, its a cheap and fairly easy diy job. Man I need one of those wings I hope they start making them!! cheers bud
This is so cool and as a Volvo guy im disappointed i didnt know of these but almost bought a running one thinking it was a modified 740 😂 years ago but seeing this made me look through my pics and i found the pic i took and yep it sure was a 780 😂 so cool gonna hunt for that car locally
If you can find them, there are 2 volumes of the Volvo Club of America (VCOA) magazine [titled "Rolling"] that detail the locating and complete restoration of this car.
So cool getting to meet you at the garage sale! Hope your trip down the coast is going good! I might be doing a manual swap on my 960 and was curious about your fab guy. One of your buddies said if I provided parts he’d do the fab for ≈$400. CHEERS!
i didnt even know this one existed a quick google got me the number 8500 was made and 340 are registered in sweden, i dont think i have ever seen one on the road thats one very rare volvo. a deeper look into swedish car forums lead me to thread such as " is the 780 a real car".
I have seen a few on the roads in Sweden, but they are indeed very rare. A dude not too far from owns one. I guess most youngsters that statistically are into old Volvos these days, i.e "Volvoraggare" wouldnt know about it, thats true.
The platinum 850s are gorgeous. Fantastic color. I saw this in person though and it is nothing like the platinum. The platinum is pearly gold, this is pearly green/blue. This color is on a whole nother level. Extremely sophisticated almost iridescent
Your videos been inspiring me alot and i was boutta buy volvo 740 turbo for myself but my mom didnt like that plan and i need like 3,5h car travel to that one its perfect and stuff but well i guess i should wait some years and then try to find another perfect volvo and that car would come to cottage where ive been driving cross bike and well its alr for them that i drive but idk (BTW IM 12 THATS PROB WHY SHE SAID NO :D)
if only we had people in Aus wanting to go to this effort with a volvo, this is so cool and huge props to the people that built it.

I wish there was a Volvo scene in Australia, I've always wanted one and never see them at shows

A decent 780 is like €15k+ here in Europe, beautiful build!
Usually around 10-13k in sweden, so ur about right :(
the body style , engine , transmission, interior are well on point . The paint is not what i would think of doing and the wheels i have never seen before anywhere. It looks really good
