Sorry I don't see the difference, when he is ready to hit, hands and body are the exact same, his head moves the same amount in both. Starts at S end up in bottom of C, he is just swinging at better pitches and probably seeing the baseball better.
When he isnt hitting well, his head moves from covering the whole s, to the bottom of the c. He's crouching. When he is hitting well, his head stays level as he starts at the s and stops at the c.
I like these breakdowns but this was terrible. Carpenter hasn't changed a thing for years. I watch him play every night. That rocking back thing was taken out of context and isn't indicative of his swing or stance or motion. He's been one of the most consistent batters over the years in his approach. This whole breakdown was odd and a waste of time.
Potentially, but there certainly was a looseness to the 2nd video example Al showed vs. the first one. Start loose, finish stronger. But admittedly a lot of hitting success hinges on pitch selection, which can change w/o mechanical altrations
Haha they just leave the dude on the couch. He doesn't know what to do with himself
How can you not absolutely love Al leiter?
Producer needs a raise, love the energy so that means i love something about baseball.
How they got turned around? They fired Matheny, that's how!
Agree.
Great analysis by al leiter

I sell potatoes
COME ON. WE SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT SWINGS AGAINST LEFTIES AND RIGHTIES. DIFFERENT CHALLENGE REQUIRES DIFFERENT APPROACH. IT'S WHY WE SWITCH HIT.

Al Leiter is awful
Let Derosa talk. Leiter rambles to cover up for not knowing exactly what he's saying.
