Okay, archers shooting at 20 yards, especially compound bow archers (like the one they keep showing) are capable of hitting the center 100% of the time. They also shoot at smaller targets at 20 yards. This target is a 70 meter target. There have been many compound bow shooters that have shot a perfect 300 round. This argument is completely invalid. Olympic archers shoot at a distance of 70 meters drew was throwing at 20 yards. Very impressive, but there is a slight difference between 20 yards and 70 meters, the distance an olympic archer shoots. You don't need to boost up your skills, they are amazing anyway.
An archer bow creates more velocity .. it is made to be accurate from that distance. An archer should be able to hit 50 out of 50 bullseye from 20 yards.
+tahtiyanna Rougeau - Defenders? NFL QB's have 6'6" monsters coming at them from all sides as soon as the ball is snapped. And all of those guys are out to break him. Also, an archer does not have to hit a moving target. QB's have to throw to receivers who are in most cases on a dead run moving between the other team's defensive secondary. This test measures only the smallest and easiest aspect of a QB's requirements...
The only thing that they didn't tell you is that Olympic archers shoot at around 70 yards while he shot at 20 yards. Impressive, but try shooting the same distance before going saying you are better. The drag remains relatively the same because of the small surface area by the way. This is why I don't like watching sports.
***** This was a BS test, but I think the NFL QB is more impressive than an Olympic Archer. The QB's throwing motion is more difficult than an archer's release (not as repeatable). He also has to read coverage, worry about being sacked, and hit a moving target. In contrast, the archer can rely on advanced equipment to aid in aiming and repeating a firing motion. They've even gone as far as adding rods to increase the moment of inertia of their bows to stabilize them, which is kind of cheap. The NFL style pure pocket passer is a rare combination of situational awareness, split second decision making, strength, and precision. Getting a very good pocket passer is difficult enough that many teams in the NCAA (and some in the NFL (e.g. 49ers and Eagles)) have switched to spread option football and dual threat QBs (less than perfect passers who can run fast and have good agility)... Sure, spread option football (also known as zone read football) offers very exciting running play, but the passing game often relies on relatively easy screen passes and isn't as reliant on the franchise QB.
+tahtiyanna Rougeau it isnt lol compared to how far the archer is and have to hit the arrow inside the yellow. 12 inch NFL size football hitting a receiver from 60 yards, who has the ability to go and catch the ball vs. a 9.3 millimeter olympic size arrow hitting a target with 122 cm in diameter from 70 meters out.
notice how they didnt say anything about the distance between the target and the archer? this oaf can hit the target so accurately because he is throwing it from 20 yards (18 m). in olympic archery they shoot from 77 yards (70m).

Wel, yeah hes a good shot with ball, but hes throwing from about 20 yards. Olympic archers shoot at 77 yards. And they get almost perfect scores in comp. matchplay, so in practice, they will probably be getting them all in the ten if not the X. Also, from 20 yards, olympic archers could get a perfect score every time on a target 1/3 that size. Also, the ball is much bigger than an arrow, so if it looks like the ball hits the ten, the centre of it probably hits the nine. It would touch about three separate rings at the same time. An arrow cant do that. If this guy could hit a target like that in the ten every single time at 77 yards, id give it to him. But he cant.
Olympic archers shoot from 70m, but thats the standard for Archery. thats not the point. You cannot throw a ball past 50 yards on average so you cannot make that comparison. The comparison is doing 10 Consecutive attempts from comparable professional sports to measure accuracy. 10/10 bullseye is considerable accuracy. He is now the most accurate QB in NFL history with the most season completion percentage on average and number of seasons to be highest than anyone by far.
illman300 look at the way the chalk flies, and where the ball hits every time. Drew Brees is good no doubt, but this is the same throw over and over again
Drew Brees has the highest completion percentage in a season than any NFL QB in history including Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Most accurate and most underated.
I'm not sure if I'd say most accurate. This challenge would be a breeze for many of the best (Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton Manning, Bret Favre, Joe Montana, Dan Marino etc.). He's only like 15 yards away. You'll see guys like Deshaun Watson hit that bullseye from like 20-40 yards down field easily. Standing still, it is very easy for an all-pro (best of the professionals) to hit a bullseye like that. It only becomes hard when the QB is on the move. That's why the only quarterbacks that truly impress me are Patrick Mahomes, and Aaron Rodgers. Don't get me wrong, it's still impressive as hell for most QB's, but when you get to the truly greatest of all time, it becomes a world of freakish humans who not only have that finesse, but the knowledge of the throwing mechanics to perform the throws perfectly and the arm strength to go deep and still do it.
+Mr.Adventure Depends on what you mean by "best". Brady does not have a great throwing arm. He is a smart player though, and he plays for a team that is very well managed. I don't believe that means that Brady is a "great" QB.
Let me correct myself...You're right he's not the best quarterback, but what i was trying to say is that he's a great quarter back overall.. IN MY OPINION.

Ha! Best quarterback in the NFL?! I think you mean Tom Brady...
+Ale pecs lol
lmao yea OK go to sleep

Depends on what you mean by "best". Brady does not have a great throwing arm. He is a smart player though, and he plays for a team that is very well managed. I don't believe that means that Brady is a "great" QB.
+Charleybones The fuck you mean he doesn't have a great throwing arm?? I'll take whatever drugs you're on because they're powerful as Hell.
Let me correct myself...You're right he's not the best quarterback, but what i was trying to say is that he's a great quarter back overall.. IN MY OPINION.
Unreal. This man is amazing.
Bro the high tech football part is hysterical
I love drew Brees he sent me a sighned card
Drew is Wilt Chamberlain of the NFL.....the goat
Drew Brees is hands down, the best QB in NFL History.
drew brees is the man
Now that brees is retired you would've given him a team like the patriots and he wouldve won 4-5 rings or even more
he one of the best quarterback
As a Falcons fan, Ive have despised Brees for yrs...but after seeing this I must give him props...wow. LOL
