- We decided to take a half-day trip down the main Thames River downstream of London, Ontario - rain or shine. It rained for most of the excursion but there was no lightning, and it was warm. It’s such a picturesque section of the river as it flows through Carolinian forest, however it was uncharacteristically ho-hum fishing on this day.
Beautiful lill river, looked like a nice paddle
@@Kevin-NW-Ontario Thanks buddy. Wish there were more fish to show ya.
Enjoyed your video Paul. Love to p and f that stretch of the thames. Does it generally have a decent depth? Only fished a short wade down from speedway bridge, but never Komoka creek /402 area. Thanks for sharing!!
@@gtrray1 Yes there is pretty good depth but it varies from riffle to pool... And of course fluctuates wildly depending on the weather. Check your flow charts!
That deep stuff is tough to fish with a fly. Reminds me I need a new sinking line, lol.
@@canadiangemstones7636 Trevor had some luck with Tenkara so he wasn't very deep but ya, for the most part you're right
Were you trolling flies for the most part?
We did when on the move but tried to stop at all the "fishy-looking" spots and work them by casting.
