I currently own my 2nd 9100 with both roofing filters and the D-STAR Module and it’s still a great radio. It’s a great companion to my ICOM 7610 & with both radios having true dual receivers it gives me lots of great options for lots of listening choices.👍🎙 W4KVW
That is a very good point. However, I don't have tons of money to spend on separate radios. Which is why multi-band radios appeal to me. I currently own a Yaesu FT-817 and a Yaesu FT-250R HT. I plan on getting an HF/VHF/UHF 100 watt radio at some point. But, as a backup I do plan on getting a 2 meter or 2M/70cm mobile. I am not sure which radio I will get first though.
2 HF connectors 1 connector for 6 one connector for 2 one connector for 70cm the 1200 module would come with its own connector. There are slew of ports and connectors on this rig.
It will not receive two different HF Frequencies or an HF & 6 meter frequency at the same time from what I have been told?I will have mine Tomorrow so I will find out from first hand experience.6 meters is my Favorite band and it would be great having that ability.I guess I will leave my ICOM 7600 on 6 meters.
The FT-847 is a very good VHF/UHF All Mode radio but it is not very good on HF/6 meters. Also the 9100 has an Automatic Tuner and the 847 does not.The 9100 is the Best radio for quality as well.👍🎙
What if something goes wrong in one band and send it back for a repair? YOU LOOSE IT ALL... I'd rather have a HF, VHF-UHF and SHF radio independently...
You try affording an All Mode Radio for each of those bands and see how much it will cost you as well as the desk space needed.I guess you have plenty of both? 🤣😂😜🤪🎙

You can use a Diplexer for 2m/70cm antenna use like the Diamond X510 dual band antenna.
Wow , it’s like a complete radio shack in one radio .
Looks like a fine radio. Good review. Thanks. 73 de NW7US
Transverter operation? I'm interested in 222 & 901 MHz operation as well-is there transverter functions available?

Koji grad je najbliži za kupit ic 9100 Bosni hercgovini itko je distributer
I was a little confused regarding the amplifier interfacing... it was not clear whether there was seperate keying lines for different amplifiers.
Nice review!
Which of the 2 HF connections do you hook up a 160m to 6m end fed antenna to ? The 160 meter connection or the 6 meter connection ?

Bob, many thanks for the IC-9100 review in this video. D-Star mode is interested on me.

The IC-9100 have separate bass and treble so you can have nice audio? Thanks
Yes, Menu #2 TCON can set Bass and Treble for Receive and for Transmit
Would you be willing to do a VS video with this and the FT-847 so I can see whats best

could you please help me how can i contact ISS using this device?
thanks in advance
SATPC32 software is what I use but a bit overkill since working the ISS does not really require that much skill just point n and call.
"GPS Operation" is a tad vague. :-)
Useless if you use it as a base Radio.
tnx. good video

Freedom of Choice and I own plenty of other radios so I’m losing nothing.
