    Footage of the funeral rites for Lt. General Emmanuel Kotoka, the General Officer Commanding the Ghana Armed Forces and member of the National Liberation Council (NLC) who was assassinated during an abortive coup on Monday, April 17th 1967.
    40-year-old Kotoka, a father of six, whose duties as part of the NLC encompassed Defence, Health, Labour and Social Welfare was killed by Lt. Moses Yeboah during "Operation Guitar Boy", the codename of the coup, which was led by Lt. Samuel Arthur.
    Thousands thronged the route between the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Cathedral where a funeral mass was held and the Osu Military Cemetery where he was buried.
    Kotoka led the coup of Febrary 1966 which overthrew the government of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
