idea of Thomas the Baker dates back to a evening conversation in 1979 with the first store opening in 1981 our history dates back to the 1960's.

Never heard of Thomas Bakery….being down south 😂 We are quite remote in Dorset but there is a Gregg’s in a town about 40/45 minutes away……I do like a Gregg’s ham and cheese toastie ❤ The Thomas Bakery quiche looked delicious 🤤

@kezzacollinson621 Thomas Bakers is mainly Yorkshire area but doesn't cover the whole area. Teeside which is where we were and a couple over Manchester and a couple over the lake District. We would have a 40 mile journey to the nearest one .we only really like the Steak bake from Greggs and even then they can be hit and miss. Thomas Bakers is definitely the best we've tried and the prices are very reasonable. Cheaper than others including Greggs. Everything we tried both on and off camera was outstanding. The quiche is the best we've ever had and the Chicken in honey mustard with salad in their amazing bread is just next level Kezza

I'll be trying Thomas Bakers if I can find one. Try bakehouse corned beef meat squares from BAKEHOUSE ❤SALTWELL ROAD GATESHEAD ❤😊😊

@Gloriousday123 hi Louise we know you mention that you're in Co Durham not sure where abouts but nearest Thomas Bakers is Middlesbrough. They should expand into the Durham area and Newcastle. Greggs would have some serious competition. No don't think we've tried that one in Gateshead yet

@annhann8605 if you ever get the chance to try Thomas Bakers products give it a go. Recommend the cheddar cheese and tomato quiche and the chicken in honey mustard sandwich. Outstanding food. Greggs Bakers would be in trouble if these expanded. Other things are available but for us the top 2 to try
