for Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He spent 6 years in a Fintech Startup and 10 years working for an Investment Bank. He also ran a nightclub, worked as a librarian, laboured for a blacksmith, worked as a personal trainer and shrink-wrapped carpets for a living - among other things.

One thing I learnt from my time at SBS and the journey I made to it - It will make a great positive difference for incoming students if they had this knowledge you share here before term commences in September, and actually work on the 1st two steps of 'Self Discovery' and 'Explore' through such an online based guiding programme in the months prior to commencing the degree. This would really help them hit the road running when they join SBS and make the most of the year... What are your thoughts?
@@akankshaanand6773 I totally agree - it's one of the reasons I wanted to do this talk, to get students and others who are considering career transitions thinking about this as soon as possible
Worth watching.. Especially fo ppl to land a decent job..
1. Self knowledge (know yourself better)
2. Explore the options (do research)
3. CV (prepare curriculum Vitae)
Ps: one should follow in order from top and not vice versa to get better results...

It's a lot of work to tailor your cover letter. Most companies dont even look at your cover letter. I'd suggest focus on your CV, and write a simple email in your application.
@Dan and I had a session together where I took career advice from him. Really interesting advice and very positively reinforcing in all ways.
He has been making an effort to reach out to multiple people who have been affected by the pandemic and this video is so apt! I'm sure this will be useful to many job seekers out there.
