It's so refreshing to listen to a normal grown up man not afraid to think who's in the same time in the miniature hobby, had to watch your video to realize how such content is hard to come by. Hey Roman, great Video. I can remember the old forum and also I remembered the situation. I really admire how you just went your way even when the guy, who was/is a really great and technical painter told you that you are wrong. I have to give you probs and going back to my notes from your painting class in Trier always reminds me of a great weekend

Roman, your blog was a huge influence on my early painting career, I still aspire to getting out to Germany and take a class with you some time but in the meantime - please, please keep throwing out this video content. Your approach, exploring & developing, not chasing trophies speaks so deeply to me.

Its not just about do this do that, but it is why you do what you do, how you change your approach and mindset when times change, which they will. Thank you, once again for this.
I agree. Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I will do more videos like this and also others, even some on explaining some techniques. I see many videos on TH-cam and there is a reason why they are succesful. Not often I see one from a well experienced teacher's perspective. I will change that :)
@@romanlappat8018 I tried a little competing. Didn't do good things for my head space. Challenges that are a bit of fun however... much more enjoyable. Lots of respect for those who can compete at a high level, and those that happily enter comps for fun. But it's not for me. So glad you addressed the "you're doing it wrong" idea.

36 seconds is hard, but possible. I try in the future with some happy painting mojo, just need to find the right brush for it.
