I talked to a rep from HKS (after filming🤦) and he said they're making 450hp on the stock engine and trans! 🤯 He said they're going to keep pushing it until it pops and they find the limit.💪 Talk about great potential from a NA car. If it could live comfortably at like 350hp long term, that'd be pretty awesome. They've been documenting its progress pretty well on their channel and NOB's channel as well.

Voltex just killing it as usual. The best part about the ZN8/ZD8 platform being so popular is that with it being so closely related to the ZN6/ZC6 new product development is still happening for the older chassis essentially (like the HKS sequential).

Exactly. The turbo parts, most/all? of the suspension parts, and I'm sure a lot more is shared. Kind of like S14/S15. Good move on Toyota's part. Released a really good looking car into a really healthy aftermarket.
@@BRICKHOUSESPL most of the engine/suspension mods fit yes, however some parts are optimized for the FA20 which would be a choke point FA24 however it’s obviously not a problem “the other way round”. Spring rates and dampening might also not be perfect between the cars but control arms and such shouldn’t be an issue. Under the skin they basically the same car from what my research has shown.

Did you ever find out the aero kit on the crystaleye 86?
I looked into it and the car and aero was built by Body Shop Kikuta so it's all from them. Their IG and website isn't up to date though so no other information has been listed online.

I'm sorry, I did not. 😓 I saw it from a distance, mistook it for a GT86, and moved on. I just googled it after seeing your comment and was like damn. 🫣 They definitely went a really unique direction with it that would have been cool to get a feel for in person.

Sorry, I'm not sure myself. 17:56 looks like a Weds or Enkei center cap. 17:09 on the rally car I'm not sure, but on the one next to it are Work Emotion ZR10's I believe.

I'll have to google that one and see if I recall seeing it. 😅 I'm not sure what it looks like off the top of my head.

I'm not sure. It almost looks like a Voltex swan mount with some lower risers. The car is built by Body Kikuta so googling that might yield some results online or on Instagram. The widebody is their original creation but I'm not sure about the wing.

It's so sad that Toyota is building so few of the GR86 compared to the actual potential demand for the vehicle if it were made with the right volume and sold at the right price. After-market people would make tons of money. It's so unfortunate that many of us watch the videos and think. I used to like an STI and bought it, I would buy the GR86, but not with ridiculous markup prices.
The video nonetheless, is great and revives my hope in Toyota deciding to produce the car in enough numbers to provide the car at the intended affordable price it was intended.
The supply problem is a bummer for sure. Maybe they hit a bigger home run than they were expecting? It's unfortunate that dealers are getting crazy with markups. Either way, great looking cars - I always enjoy seeing them on the streets.
