      Personally I've heard good things, however you've got to do some research on whether graduates from the commerce program have success in terms of co-op's and early careers. I know for commerce, there is a huge emphasis on networking and developing those soft skills. Ontariotech is known more for their Engineering programs rather than business. @@OsamaBaig In my opinion the cons outweigh the pros. Found that most of my profs don't really care about teaching, that the student experience is non-existent and extracurriculars are severely limited. In addition, as a commuter school there is next to no campus atmosphere and the schools attempts to generate any sort of environment comes off as extremely artificial and fake as a result.
      You essentially go to class and go home. That's it, for 200 days a year, for 4 years.
      I believe that apart from having a decent reputation in engineering circles, going here will hold you back for the most part, while also ensuring you never have anything resembling a university experience.

    • @OsamaBaig
      @OsamaBaig  3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@leftenantthunder Your response is really well worded. I agree with you, You really have to go out of your way to have a University experience at Ontario tech. However there are limitless opportunities to get involved with clubs/organizations.
      This is how life is in general, especially after you start working 9-5. You will have to put in the effort and can't always depend on opportunities knocking at your doorstep. School's like Ontariotech don't have the benefit of traditions & developed organizations which have been developing resources for the past 100 years.
      Its a new University and takes a lot more initiative and effort to get these things off the ground. Personally, I had a great experience because I put in that extra effort to run for elections, take part in clubs/societies, attend conferences and catch every opportunity to get involved somehow and have fun along the way. On top of this I had an exceptional time with Co-op's and internships. If you are a self motivated individual, this University is for you.
