Well Captain it was good to get up close to The Sea Marker but I do thinks it needs more than a lick of paint, there must be a lot of seafarers on the Island who could dip their hands into their deep pockets and pull out a few quid for a full of restoration, Maybe screw down some metal collection tins on the Red Funnel Fleets Ferries with a bit of history the marker could come into its former glory. over 3 million people use the ferries and there must be some who don't need the change in their pocket.
the sea mark is not for navigation, you are just told that.. its on a magnetic line and is probably covering something up that would give you night mares.
Great video.Thanks for posting.
Glad you liked it, shipmate

Interesting way to get to it by taking the chain ferry when it's on the east of the island
Indeed shipmate. I am easily distracted by unnecessary ship travel.
Thank you for this video Captain hope to visit there when in Southampton in 2025🙃
Always a good trip to the Isle of Wight, shipmate, perfect day out.

That's a good idea shipmate. I wonder if it is still maintained by the Trinity House?
@@SolentShips it's one of those things, in sight from a distance must out of mind.
It looks to me that trinity house may be responsible for the sea mark's maintenance but I'm not sure they're doing much!

You could be on to something there, shipmate? Anything to do with crop circles?
