I read the wall of Winnipeg in April too. And it was also my first Mariana zapata book. For anyone thinking about reading it, you definitely should. And don't give up on it. The slow burn makes it so much better and the way their relationship evolves is something else. I just loved Vanessa and everything they go through.

Steph, there's a little ledge underneath the shelves, the back cover of the bottom book fits in between the ledge and actual shelf so then you can't see the shelf at all and makes the books look like they're floating! Not sure if you knew this and just prefer it that way but just thought I'd let u know

Its mystery romance + THERE ARE 4 HOT GRANDSONS LAGXIEGDISHHW summary: its about a random girl named Avery that suddenly had to Inherit the riches & properties of a billionaire who died that she doesnt even know. She met the 4 grandsons who are damn confused why its her since it was supposed to be them who has to inherit instead of a random girl. So yea, she moved in with them and has to solve the riddles and puzzles the old man left to know the reason why it was her who has to inherit. 5/5 y'all

Hot Summer Nights by Elizabeth Chandler. My favorite book as a teen, the ultimate slow-burn AND a serious side-story w/ unplanned pregnancy. I loooove it so much. I don't know how many times I read it, and I still read it again sometimes. (I am 29, so this literally came out in the 90s, and is a true vintage gem).
I have those same shelves! To truly have them be hidden you need to put the back of the cover in the little holders on the bottom. It’s hard to explain but if you look at it you’ll know what I’m talking about. Cute setup!

I read Wolfsong by TJ Klune recently and I think you would really like it. M/M with werewolfs. Strangers to friends to lovers to enemies to epic romance. And the best part is the foundfamily trope which truly made me cry happy tears (sad tears too lol). The book covers more than 10 years it's very intense but so funny and cute. Honestly, I'm still not over it. Ox became one of my favorites characters.
You should totally read Kulti next from Mariana Zapata's books! Also since it's your first (or should I say second? lol) time reading her works, her characters are actually somehow connected from book to book like spiderwebs. Zac Travis, Vanessa and Aiden's "housemate" has his own story, Hands Down. And Jasmine's sister Ruby and husband Aaron, Dear Aaron. Happy reading!
