Trying to charge for a crack in a windshield that already had 2 un-repaired chips is insane, borderline criminal behavior in my book, all other circumstances be damned. That can develop into a severe crack just from hitting a small pothole at 30mph. Heck, it can even develop naturally while sitting! I would dispute any such charge, the owner acknowledging the already present chips makes it a slam dunk case in my book
That is insane as the windshield already needed to be replaced. Also they should not be wording it as rock chips, they should be fighting this by stating "the windshield was already cracked before I picked it up" and include the pictures of the smaller cracks.

Also the dude is under no obligation to go to the lowest bidder to get his car fixed. Mainly because track driving is not covered under insurance. Higher speeds, more risk. Insurance is only for public roads and residential areas, parking garages, all the normal things you do with a car
Respectfully, I think you're mostly in the wrong on this one. You should have disputed the repair estimate amount and also requested that the repair bill be reduced for preexisting damage and stopped there. As for your concern that the owner may have charged someone else for previous damage to the windshield... Unless you have evidence of that, you should have never brought that up. And as for going 140 mph... You may be ok with your renters going whatever speed they want with your cars, but this Turo host is not. He's renting out his car expecting that the renter will abide by the terms set forth in the rental agreement and going 140 is violating those terms.
I mean you shouldn't be doing 90+ in rentals anyway. I'm sure you don't like people speeding well above the speed limit in your cars. And we all know you kids speed on Adventure Drive, bunch of exotics of course you're going to speed once in a while.
If you rent a sports car i'd expect you to speed. As you see from my videos I don't care how fast people go as long as they are doing it on public roads where their insurance covers them. Violating traffic laws is between you and law enforcement.

I rented a Mercedes on Turo a few years ago and a pice of trim on the bumper had some broken clips. I lost it in a car wash, made the owner completely aware and showed him pictures where it was damaged and we met at we each pay half of the replacement coat when I pointed it out in pictures. It actually worked out very well.
Just stop using turo 0 issues moving forward.
If they take it on a track, you can charge them for new tires and all new fluids as well as new brakes. If track is excluded.

“You can jump the grand canyon I dont care “ yet he freak out when a client drove the car to a race track !
Mainly because track driving is not covered under insurance. Higher speeds, more risk. Insurance is only for public roads and residential areas, parking garages, all the normal things you do with a car
I get it…. Even speeding is not under insurance…. It’s just the fact that he is in contradiction with himself !
@@hells6662 I believe speeding is covered if you're on public roads. It's about where rather than what.
Why are you still talking about turo, it's garbage.
TURO is a scam. 😐
Just stop renting on turo
Remember when Rob used to be fun? Now every video is complaining or talking about some scam. L.
turo ruins another adventure drive
Its a rental car, even if it was a Nissan Versa expect it to speed.
