Had my former favorite teacher write on my report card that I was insignificant, that my presence in class wouldn’t make a difference if I participated or not, and that she often forgets I’m there. - she easily put into words how accurately that was. Kinda thanks to her I know a word to describe myself: insignificant.

Back in the 5th grade, we had a substitute for my social studies class, and my teacher made sure he planned a lesson for us before he ever called in a substitute. When we got to her class, she didn't go over any of the notes or interactive parts of the lesson, and just passed out our paper assignments. She ignored us and didn't answer any questions we had, and spent the whole class on her phone. At one point, she received a phone call, and she just answered it and started loudly chattering to her friend, she didn't even bother to try to take it to the hall or anything, and she even used explicit language in front of us. In front of 5th graders. We all told our parents of course, and we never heard about her again. How she became a substitute in the first place, I'll never understand.

5th Grade teacher made a comment that there is "no more than 24 volts in an automobile." I raised my hand, "What about the ignition system? Spark plug voltage is 30Kv and up." He protested. I asked "How do you get 24 volts to spark a half an inch?" His reply, "I don't have to. You do." "But what about the ignition coil?" "Oh, that's just there to regulate the current." I had the whole class telling me I didn't know what I was talking about, so the next day, I brought in a GM service guide that warned "Exercise caution when engine is running, as ignition coils can generate a spark of up to 50,000 volts." and showed him. His reply was "I don't have time for your rhetoric." It was at that moment that I very thoroughly realized teachers weren't infallible.

Not a teacher but, my high school did an art show, I worked my butt off making a picture about Roman gladiators with lions and tigers in the background, it and a bunch of other art got displayed in the common area. I think it was the PTA or equal that was gonna be the judge. No real prize just a crap ribbon. But still, I didn't even get looked at while someone who did the absolute shittiest tracing hack drawing of MLK and Obama got first prize because it was 2008 and all that. And what pissed me off more was I saw even better art than mine not even get recognized but that garbage obama picture a 3 year old could have crapped out in 5 minutes won first place.

Similar thing happened to me. I made an absolutely huge comic poster made from ink and copics and it was the only art like it in the room. It was also for $300 for 1st place. People all over the school would talk to me about how much they loved it since the art gallery was presented. It took me a whole month and everyone was hyped up about it. Even my art teacher thought it would win! The winning peice was a tiny acrylic rainbow cat portrait I swear I saw on deviant art. I was a little sad that day.

Back Storie: I have learning difficulties, (Only really reading and weighting and spelling)
I also really like business and entrepreneurs and other stuff along these line, like I was kinda a nerd but I was a nerd who was bad at school and was quite popular.
This was in 2015 I was in year six and had a relief teacher. On the wall of our class we had this cold poster we all made. Mine was about who my favourite people were and one of them was Elon musk (He wasn’t very famous in Australia at this time, but I really was fascinated by everything about him). The teacher started laughing really hard after reading mine and said “you want be a really successful entrepreneur, who worked with Elon musk on all his technology”. And started laughing. I said yeah and I will do it. She called home because I was apparently being hard work. I told my dad what happened when I got home and the next day came to my school with me. I never saw here again. I am still working towards you dreams of working with Elon musk. Keep a look out for my name in the future.
Edit: the reason she called home was because I told her that I will be making more money than her whole family tree combined.
Edit 2: not a terrible insult if I do say so my self

In fifth grade, we had to research an assigned planet and a week later present five interesting facts that we didn't know previously to the rest of the class. The thing was I was really into astronomy, and Saturn (the planet I was assigned) was my favorite planet. I knew almost everything about it, even at 10-11 years old. I knew it was named after the Roman god of agriculture, I knew the belt around it was made of rock and ice, I knew it had dozens of moons and Titan was its largest, etc. In retrospect, I could've just used facts that I knew and presented them as if I didn't know them, but in my mind that wasn't the assignment and would've been cheating.
In the end I only presented two facts (I don't remember what they were). My teacher immediately grabbed my arm and dragged me out into the hall to scold me. I still remember her red face and burning eyes, her trembling with rage, inches from my face and looking into my soul as she berated me and told me I was worthless and wouldn't amount to anything. One of the top three scariest moments of my life. I spent the rest of the day crying in the hallway, and the next few years thinking it was what I deserved for being too smart.
    Fuck you, Mrs. Clark

21:51 My 6th grade math teacher claimed IXL was good and helpful because if you got an answer wrong it would explain what you did wrong. I’m sure most of the class didn’t read the explanations. And I couldn’t have been the only one who opened another tab and used an online calculator. My desk was in the top right corner of the classroom, her desk was in the bottom right. She never saw me then or when I was gaming all the time.
She also yelled at a kid who was sleeping in class. Thinking about it now, his home life probably wasn’t good. She had *some* good methods but a number of shortcomings.

My high school English teacher. She was absolutely awful. Every year at the beginning of the year. she sent home a letter to the parents that basicly said "your kids are lying, I am a wonderful person." But drawn out into a full page letter. I could go on and on about everything she did. But I was a relatively good kid. I did not get in to trouble much. Some kids were randomly selected to go take a math test one day. This was to test the average knowledge of our grade and if the math teachers were effectively teaching everyone. The results would effect the school's funding. It took 2 hours in the auditorium. When we were done we were sent back to class. This made us go back to class mid period. So I walked into class and she told me to leave. I asked why and she said the tardy policy specifically states I cannot enter mid class, she had already counted me absent. I reminded her that I was taking the math test and I had a pass. She said that it did not matter and rules were rules, she would not accept the pass. I would be assigned detention that week to make up that days class. She assigned me 3 days of after-school detention because the school pulled me out of class to take a test FOR THE SCHOOL! F you Miss Bush!

I was a whiz kid and several teachers in junior high had issues that I was a high performing student. The worst was an 8th grade biology teacher. On tests, if the student was even somewhere in the ball park on the answer, the teacher gave them full credit. On the other hand, if I got even one letter wrong on an answer (i.e. arachnia instead of arachnid) I was marked wrong. End of the year I got even and I can't believe the teacher was this stupid-I worked after school as a janitor. Just days before the term ended I went into the drawer where he kept his grade book and changed all my D's into B's. I ended up getting a B in his course.

Had a sub for 3 days, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday. Monday morning a teacher in another class told us we'd have a test on Wednesday afternoon. So, on Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon and midday Wednesday when I had the sub I studied for that test, (the sub didn't give us work). Class groups in my year were streamed according to academic performance, our class was the most advanced. Most of us were bored in school because it didn't challenge us, and we didn't know how to cope with the stuff that did challenge us. So we were not a good class to have, we were loud and messy and annoying. However, as I mentioned, I was studying for a test during the class periods when we had this sub. I was Not being disruptive. Anyway, Wednesday rolls around and I thought it would be the last class I'd have to revise before the test. But no, the sub decided to give us a surprise quiz as punishment work. I'm quiet but not shy, I refused to do the test unless she could prove that I personally had been disruptive over the last 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) ie through documentation eg a write up (because collective punishment is low-key a crime). We were graded through continuous assessment but the teacher they were subbing for told us after that they wouldn't count the quiz towards our grade since a) it wasn't material we'd covered, and b) they'd already done our report cards.
The sub taught us next year and they were actually a good teacher, they'd explain problems and questions and were pretty helpful.
Had another teacher who wasn't awful per se. We had had a lot of different teachers for this one subject and none of them had done a particularly good job, so there was a lot of the course that we'd never completed. This teacher was the most recent one to teach the subject. They walked into the middle of the final exam (which was set by the state) and opened a test booklet, flipped through, and pointed out all of the part that we physically couldn't do, because we hadn't finished the course, (it was about 30% of the total test). As I mentioned, we were the most advanced group in our year, so the majority of the faculty assumed we didn't need as much "teaching" as the other groups. They were the epitome of surprised pikachu face when the highest grades for that class were in the high 60s.
The teacher who walked into the exam was actually also good at teaching though, just not that subject.
Also had a teacher who refused to grade us through continuous assessment, and instead gave us massive tests before summer and winter holidays. She once gave me a 0 on a portion of the test that I physically couldn't read (printer malfunctioned). She Admitted that it was impossible for me to have answered that section correctly, and that this was through no fault of my own. But she still refused to change my grade eg total marks is 250, that section is 50 marks, grade me on the 200 possible marks.
She was not a good teacher and was redeemed only by the fact that I liked the extracts she picked for the reading comprehension worksheets she made, and usually ended up reading the books they were from.
There was only one teacher who was universally hated by teachers and staff. They only lasted a year, and from what we heard (from the teachers) it was longer than they had lasted at most schools.
The first time I met them I remember genuinely wondering "why get into teaching if you despise children?". (The answer is power). Unfortunately, my class had her for the whole year and we got nothing done (the teacher we had the following year literally had to condence a two year course into one year to make up for it) because they spent all of the class time screaming (actually screaming, loudly) about the most minor things eg they once got a student suspended because they left a water bottle on their desk (the student was on their "last chance" due to unrelated incidents in other classes). There were a lot of students who considered dropping down to a less advanced level, not because the work was too challenging (as I mentioned, we didn't do any work all year) but because the teacher was so unbearable to be around. Unfortunately, they also taught the group below us.
The only positive thing I could possibly have to say about that teacher is that I aced an oral presentation that was part of a state exam (it was a "CLASSROOM-BASED assessment" but that she refused to let us do in class or provide feedback on) purely out of spite, (I also bribed my classmates to ask questions that allowed me to elaborate my knowledge on the topic, they too were motivated by spite).

When I was in Year 7 (UK equivalent to 6th Grade I think) I had a similar situation to 15:11 because myself and a kid I had gone to Primary were too advanced for the maths we were doing at the time but since we don't get put in sets until Year 9 (8th Grade) moving would have done no difference. Well anyway, we finished the homework mega early and handed it in as soon as it was done. It came to the deadline and he had lost our homework so gave the two of us negatives for failing to complete the homework.
