Great video! Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you!
I get to the end of the videos! Thank you for keeping me company through a dye day today! I’m not keen on holding double with mohair either so you’re definitely not alone and after binge watching your episodes I’m pretty sure we would be friends IRL too 😂 keep it up! This was fab 🧶😍
Amazing! That really does make my day.
So glad to have kept you company, also incredibly excited to see what you're dying up next.
It still baffles me that people can listen to me waffle on for that long 😂
Thank you!
I really enjoyed this video and like everything you showed us. Looking forward to your next episode.
Thank you :)
Hi Addie, 👋 I'm Carla. I'm new to your channel. Thank you for sharing your beautiful makes. Your striped sweater is gorgeous and I love the purse. I'm knitting a few tile stitch squares to make into a blanket eventually. I also love your pumpkin socks, they are fab. Enjoy your day 😊
Hi Carla! Lovely to have you here.
Thank you so very much. Oh that sounds lovely, I'm forever In awe of people who can knit blankets, I've never managed it 😊
I have watched all of your podcasts to the end. Loved every one and looking forward to the next! You've made some beautiful things 💕
Thank you so much x
Hi! I've really enjoyed your podcast - nice to see someone else with a three year old who's managing to find time for knitting!! 🤍 I'm a novice knitter, and was interested in how you were saying you don't really like to knit with mohair. A lot of the patterns I've seen (I've done a few petite knit patterns now -canon event 😂) are knit with mohair, when looking at a pattern how do you tell if you HAVE to knit it with mohair or if it's just a texture choice? Thank you from a newbie! X
Thank you thats so lovely to hear!
Ok, so i think it's a lot of personal preference as to whether of not you use a strand of mohair. Usually mohair does tend to fill in any gaps between stitches to make the fabric look more opaque than it would be with just one strand. Generally i would say that it is usually just a texture choice and lots of people love the halo it gives but its 100% not neccesary. You can still get a lovely halo from suri or even just alpaca if thats what you're after.
I would also say that i have never come across a pattern that HAS to be knit with mohair, for example my Jacket no1 suggests mohair + worsted/aran wool and i knit it with just a stand of aran weight wool. As long as you get guage with your selected yarn or a fabric you like and are able to select a size to gives you the fit you want then you can knit with whatever fiber choice you want. X
Just discovered your channel through Laura! I got to the end of the video because I really love your projects and how you talk about them. Great video!
Thank you so so much!
I make it to the end every time, binged all your content this weekend as stuck in my village due to floods. Am knitting a Lang Ayre shawl in Jamison and Smith inspired by Becky of Back to Blighty x
Thank you so much. Hope that the floods aren't too bad, and that you are all safe and well.
Oh that sounds amazing! It's a gorgeous shawl pattern!
Love the colours on your Friday tee 😀
Thank you so much 😊
Made it to the end. 😄I love your outfit, the Friday tee is the perfect colour combo for you and the fit seems perfect too. May I ask what size you made? I am thinking about using some Colourmart stash to make possibly a dress out of the pattern, would need to see how gauge works out (it's a thicker yarn than pattern spec) but would love if it fit similarly to your tee.
Working on a million wips but while watching this end, a half+half triangles wrap from Purl Soho.
Thank you!
I made the size XS and for context have a 32" (82 cm) bust so have around 3 ½" or 8cms of positive ease.
I think with some swatching you could definitely use a thicker yarn. The merino I used from knitting for olive is slightly thinner than the Sunday that's suggested in the pattern. I think the broken rib is a very forgiving stitch.
@@KnitsbyAJ thank you for all this useful information! I will let it simmer as I proceed with my current wips!
