And you can well be!I've seen the Defilé,at least 10 times since its creation in the early 50s and each time my stomach shrinks and tears starts.I just can't help it.To correct the speaker of the Australian tv,only recently the opening of the season begins with 2 presentations of the company.Before it was done for a special gala.From the mirror of the Danse Foyer to the proscenium there is 166ft and the slope of the stage is 5%!The house is set in dimmed light and can be seen in the mirror.

This very young dancer is a ballet school student called "petit rat". She will have to go through years of training, then 5 levels before being eventually nominated ETOILE (Star). 5th level: 5) quadrille; 4th level: coryphée; 3rd level: sujet; 2nd level: first dancer; 1st level: Etoile.

this is not dance or ballet it is like a ceremony to pay tribute to the oldest ballet company in the world in the beautiful opéra Garnier.
