I in CT have used this for storms hurricanes and winter unbiasedly it has powered my fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 lamps, wifi, tv and a fan or window ac unit all on 5000 running watts quiet to compared to my 18nother neighbors
I recently got the 1200 watt (still unopened in box) and yesterday saw the 5000 watt on clearance at tractor supply. I am not sure if i should upgrade but this sounded much quieter than the video i watched on the 1200 watt
Probably not dramatically quieter, there’s a handle on there that vibrates and makes extra noise that you could probably wrap somehow. Consider your capacity needs first over noise concerns

Yes! We did use it fairly recently after a storm and it did what we asked of it.

My generator runs but is not putting out power. What is wrong
There’s a switch you need to turn on, but I haven’t used it in so long, I’d have to go look to see what position it needs to be in.
