Yes! Celebrating the wins and appreciating how far you have come together with your hound is so important. Every day my hound settles more and more into life with me, and even when we have tough days, we have come so far. Thank you for your videos they are fantastic x

This is practical, useful and very well done. You are providing such solid, helpful information that you have, no doubt, helped many people. In particular, taking a break is such a counter-intuitive message that i bet lots of owners feel guilty. However, taking a break and then separating play from training is absolutely marvelous to help people feel that they can progress!! I know this from personal experience and I must say you are exceptional!!!! I really admire your stellar video!!

I have adopted a 3.5yrs female. They said she was good with all dogs but this hasn't been the case. She has pray drive. I live in a small flat of the main residence and have shared Access to the enclosed yard. I can and do walk her on the property on lead and with the muzzle on. It is day 6 into the adoption process. My place is small. 1 bedroom and lounge area. She can't just walk out back. Any strategies introducing and help with the pray drive please.

It is 23 acres not all fenced and the full time puppy is a fluffy energetic cavoodle. At times a kelpie comes over.

you often see differences once the situation changes unfortunately. It sounds like she is struggling with all the new stuff right now, so best to take it very slow. would it be possible to talk to your neighbours and ask that they allow her a little more space as she settles in?

A dog behaviourist has told us to try using a Pet Corrector with our greyhound but I think they are negative punishment and I don’t want to 😭

Our greyhound walks amazing in group walks with other greyhounds. She enjoys 1:1 walks with a Labrador friend. She just growls/barks at boisterous or off lead dogs that approach her

@@dundermifflinthisiserin I would call a Pet Corrector positive punishment, as its something unpleasant you add at the time the dog is doing what you don't want them to do. Punishment has been shown to make nervous dogs more fearful, so I would suggest you trust your instincts, not this behaviourist. If you would like to book a session to talk through working on this behaviour using force-free techniques please contact me via my website, www.jillwoodmancaninecare.co.uk
