OC difference is going to be huge. With this much talent do you try to get Caleb to manage the game or turn him loose. I have been a Bears fan since 1972 and never seen this much talent on our offense.

@bryangilmore5477 yeah still think we have more weapons this year. Marshall and Jefferey were both Supreme talents but streaky players. And we didn't have anyone close to Rome Odunze at WR3.
Forte was prolly the most underrated piece of that offense..loved his game so much!!
I agree fully that this offensive team should surpass that team as well & I'm super excited to see what the whole team is able to do!!! I'm looking for great things to happen for the bears especially in the next year when they all have a year under their belt together

2013 was up there with Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jefferey, Martellus Bennet and Matt Forte. Easy to forget how get that offense was because it coincided with the worst defense we've ever had

I’d like to see the defensive players on each nfc opponent matched up against our offense on paper to see the mismatches. I feel like the Bears Offense is going to keep the rushers at bay. If they rush they will lose. This opens up the run game a lot and I already planned on seeing Swift a lot.

I understand that my man!!!! Which is why i CONTINUE repeating the phrase "Things are DIFFERENT this time" and researching more and more about how great of a job Ryan Poles has done.
It doesn't mean the results will be INSTANT, but I truly believe we have turned a corner and it will result in much better football going forward!

Middle of the pack I’d say. However it may look better if Caleb hits these quick passes which will be open on the reg with these weapons. Teams will be torched if they blitz imo .
Just an EARLY ranking would be somewhere in the mid-teens. 14-18th. I think probably I would rank them around 15th (just a guess). I will actually rank them later in the offseason, i need to study other teams olines a bit more before i do that though

Right now we probably have the most skill talent on the team on paper with the new QB being an unknown. The offensive line needs to stay healthy cause they have been the weak link on the team the last several years mainly due to injury. If they can be just average in everything the team is going to do great things. One of the worst pass blocking units the last several years and stats show that out. Stats also show we hardly ever have a healthy offensive line unit put out there. Center has been the weak link on the line and I hope one of the new guys can fill that spot.
Where this skill positions group falls will ultimately depend on health (Allen/Swift). They do belong somewhere in the top 10 thanks to King Poles.
If you are looking strictly at skill positions (WR, TE, RB), yes we are top 5. However once QB and offensive line are considered, we drop. The OL has to block and the QB’s passes have to be on time and accurate to maximize the effectiveness of the weapons. All the more reason to sign Connor Williams.

Swifty, as usual, I agree with you. Bears are loaded on offense, defense and ST. Poles did a great job building all three segments of the game. Add the new coaches to that, too.

Couldn’t be more excited for Hard Knocks than the season! This is the most excited I’ve probably ever been for the future of the Bears. If we get another solid edge, maybe DT, and a healthy camp… we’re making a decent run. If this things happen and Caleb is “generational”, there are no excuses for anything less.

Offensive line needs to stay competitive through the injuries. Ya know its going to happen. But are the Bears capable of averaging 30 points a game? I'm thinking they are.
It's a very interesting subject, but I can't say one way or the other until I actually seem them play. But I do hope that ur right swifty.

I mean i updated how he was in practice, he missed MOST of OTAs. However, without pads on you can't really evaluate offensive line anyway, so we are really waiting for trianing camp and preseason to see how Nate is doing

I think you’re being a little too generous in your praise of this offense. I want the Bears to do well just as you do, but they’re not a top 5 unit until they prove it. Odunze hasn’t played a snap, so we really don’t know. DJ Moore is really good. Keenan Allen while older, is still effective. Swift is good, but overall this unit isn’t anywhere in the top 5.

I think they have a LOT of potential. The biggest question mark right now is HEALTH. Can Teven Jenkins, Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright stay healthy for a full season????

@@SwiftSportsNetwork your right. I was the one doing the comparisons. My point being the skill positions don’t mean much without the line. 1.5 sec vs 3.5 sec makes a big difference. Everyone’s talking needing another DE to complete things. I just think they need another quality guard or tackle more

Well some thought Justin Fields was going to terrify but came up short. This is round two and this time the pieces are in place. Need good line play to get the most out of the skill players. This edition definitely has some bonafides. Beat GB! Beat GB!
They NEVER surrounded JF1 with this kind of talent or even a competent OL. Poles didn't get rid of Justin because of his performance. Poles wanted to reset the QB clock. He had to have insight to know what was going to happen in the QB market, with all the silly, giant $$$$ contracts given out lately.
@@robhansen6370 Fields performance was terrible regardless of any metric you use for an NFL passer not a runner - just as a passer. He is a multi threat athlete, not a NFL QB. He should either be a slash type player or go up north and star in the CFL. Exciting athlete but not someone you could remotely plan a passing offense around. Blame Poles but then you ignore the position old Pace left the Bears in. How could Poles surround JT with anything given the hole Pace put the Bears in? Explain how he could have done this given the financial situation. We will see if the Steelers can get anything out of him. If they were smart they should use both Wilson and JT together like they used Cordell Stewart. That is his best fit - not as a QB that distributes the ball. Wish him luck, he plays hard. He is just ahead of his time.
