Muggs being a pillar of the culture for 30 years, kept working and never once complained why isn't he constantly in the spotlight and on all the waves. If the intern that's keeping an eye on this channel reads this by any chance, tell Muggs we appreciate him and his dedication all these years wasn't unnoticed.
Amen I knew muggs from the streets of Bell Gardens in the 80s he was very smart then as he is now, it was a true blessing to rise from such a place with no opportunity for that I am truly happy to see him escape the hood and succeed
DJ Muggs is a legend, everybody talk about Kanye or Dre but Muggs is true and every album is a masterpiece.Soul Assassins is my life, the typical Muggs beat style has shaped my life since 1991
This album has been part of my life since I was 17, the production is impeccable, the concepts, the originality of each MC on the record a true masterpiece. Can't be replicated.
This mini documentary is a pure rough Diamond ! One of the illest album ever made ! Thank you Muggs for this documentary and for all the Soul Assassins albums, the music, the merchandise and the movement !
True. The album very reokayable. John 3.16 n las tracks, seem short but powerful n u plzy on repeat. So i xld, say first zlbum u repzat songs easy before hearing the nexts artistes vibe. Bulworth sdtk is like that as well
Muggs is right, Cee Lo verse IS one of the greatest in history on that track and that track in general is the best track on the album. Looks like im gonna have to go listen to the whole thing right now
I am going out on a limb saying this, but from a production, lyrical, and talent stand point this album stands the test of time. You could build an entire concert line up off this album alone and not be disappointed. I can only listen to the album from front to back when I throw it on. No skips allowed. Thanks Muggs you are and always will be a real one.
Muggs has always been a super slept on producer when dudes name their top 5's and 10's. His joints are immaculately layered when it comes using multiple melodic samples from several sources in one track. His drums are always so punchy and flawlessly programmed. The way he arranges the tracks on their albums is well thought through and songs transition from one into the next wherever it's appropriate. There are so many questions I have for this man just pertaining to his sampling/production techniques. Muggs and Stoupe are two producers that intrigue me with their techniques. I need these questions answered before leaving this life!!!
OMG!! SA volume 4 🤯🤯 Happy 25th to this fucking record my all Time favorite!! So awesome to see the unseen footage after 25 years of listening to this record and to hear the breakdown from the ONE and ONLY MUGGS! Salute!!! Cypress and Soul Assassins all day and forever ❤️💀❤️❤️💀💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
It's still blows my mind how Muggs evolved from the streets of l.a. Bell Gardens, to a Grand Master Legend of Hip Hop, long live the Soul Assassins,Long Live the Big Homies Muggs !!!
Super dope, so cool to see this stuff Still got my original album that I bought back in the day when it came out. Copped it at Media Play store in Buffalo. For whatever reason they used to carry a better selection of hip-hop compared to the other chain stores. This was before the mixtape era, and it was pretty hard to find specific artists at your local record store, if the artists weren’t from that region
Dre, RZA, Muggs, ALC have always been my inspiration. I love what Muggs is doing. Taking all the dope underground artist and giving them a chance to be heard. There are a few artist Muggs did projects for and I was like who is this? Let me see if they have other albums I can listen to. That’s how it’s supposed to be done. Salute.
I’ve been preaching this, for a long time. This album right here is beautiful. One of the most slept on classics of the 90s. Even though it’s a feature heavy producer compilation, Muggs ties it all together, and it really feels like an album. Classic, classic album. Oh and I love part II as well. I was so excited when that one came out.
Props from France, my brother and I were Muggs music fans since the first Cypress Hill, unique touch and sound design... keep pushing out your art bro!
Muggs my favorite producer.. for many obvious reasons. Prob my main reason is cause he ain't afraid to switch it up and do different genres and sounds... But he always makes it rough and def got that muggs signature. One cool thing is as a dj I'll be spinning a record and forget that there's a muggs remix to like some either obscure song or even a kind of pop record. He's the goat period.
Daaaamn Muggs this is.the best!!!.. To documentary this twenty five year... I just wish to appear on it (lol) cause I been here since then. Soul.Assassins my crew. Come back.to.Mexico Master Muggs as soon you could

DJ Muggs has been my fabourite hip hop producer for the past 20 years with Cypress Hill back in the days ! Just think about Alchemist being his student back in the 90s (doing Temple of Boom by his side) and now the recognotion & talent he's got... SA is really the illest rap crew of all times man, blazing a fat one one to Mugg's music/universe is a journey and discovery every time never fuckin disappoints
Who else wants to see more footage of Muggs sampling and making beats? I know that I must've watched that one clip of him on the SP-1200 back in '92 100 times by now or and I can't get enough of it but I wanna see as much of these shits as I can possibly come across.
ok Muggs is legit my favorite producer, but your take is WIIIILD Dude! Dre and RZA, careers are far more successful! Muggz is the realest, and he would not throw shade on either of those legends, get your mind right fella'!! Both of them contributed to the OG SA Album!
Muggs being a pillar of the culture for 30 years, kept working and never once complained why isn't he constantly in the spotlight and on all the waves.
