I will share what our team has learned from successfully integrating R in all areas of our company's operations. InsightRX is a precision medicine company whose goal is to ensure that each patient receives the right drug at the optimal dose. At InsightRX, R is a first-class language that's used for purposes ranging from customer-facing products to internal data infrastructure, new product prototypes, and regulatory reporting. Using R in this way has given us the opportunity to forge fruitful collaborations with other teams in which we can both learn and teach.

Join me as I share how the skills of data science and engineering can complement each other to create better products and greater impact.
Presented at Posit Conference, between Sept 19-20 2023,

Excellent presentation! Using R as a first-class language is very challenging in many organizations, especially in healthcare field. However, it is possible to build very effective applications and integrate them into healthcare processes through interoperability standards and various technologies that are worth knowing. Thank you for the encouragement your talk brought me!

Great presentation! "R in production" and all the tools and strategies needed to make it possible (successfully) are topics which need to be discussed more often.
Lot of R users (probably most of all) are statisticians like me, who were taught this beautiful language only as a powerful calculator and little more.
In the last 3 years I approached step by step software engineer stuff with R, building Shiny Apps, Plumber APIs, cron-scheduled ETL on cloud and so on; I am very excited to be capable doing these things, and I'm happy seeing them in production, but it has been hard and frustrating, because the path was not clear and it was difficult to put together all the fragmentary information found around (Docker, virtual machines, cloud environments, Software best practices).
Actually it's still hard, because I'm still dirty in my code organization, but I'm trying to get better everyday :)
    Thanks!
