I just love Audra's version of this song. The emotion she packs into her performance always moves me. I'm so captivated throughout that I can't keep my eyes off of her. I love listening to her recording of the song, but watching her perform it just brings it to a whole other level.
I watched this because her interpretation of this song is perfection. She is such an artist! But I was blown away by how Seth Rudetsky was right with her at every moment. It is always inspiring to experience musicianship like that... it seems effortless.
@encorebc I think with the introduction especially she sunk deep into the character's mindset at the time of the song. She may have become too emotional if she didn't get thru it quickly. I've noticed this when she sings "glamorous life' as well
Also interesting that it seemed rather rushed by her and Mr. Rudetsky had a hard time keeping up. But she really did seem to rush a bit. Not that tempos can't change from one performance to another. But seemed to rob the song of something.

What is this intro that she sings? Is this a different song worked out as an intro or something new that Jeff Blumenkrantz added to the song?
@roglovesbroadway . I agree!!! I LOVE her.
I listen to this when the 10 year old orphan inside needs to cry.
The intro is not by Jeff Blumenkrantz. That's as much as I can find out.
@roglovesbroadway
@encorebc yes what is this intro thing?!
