    Great straightforward presentation and comparison without anything superfluous! The Glycerin seems like an excellent choice for a beginner to intermediate runner looking to buy one pair of shoes and maybe wanting to run more often and further wihtout worrying too much about speed. But might also want to pick up the pace a little once in a while! I might give them a try!

    For what it's worth, started running at age 7 & have miraculously been able to run at least up to my current lower 40s since that age (tragic motorcycle accident 21 yrs. back 😮‍💨, RIP John Melvin), nonetheless, was fortunately good enough to compete in the National Hershey Track Meet & National Junior Olympics as a child, in addition to winning the state track two mile competition in hs two yrs. in a row, enabling me to get a college scholarship in XC & Track. All of that is to say, I have never felt a similar sensation all these yrs. later, however, during my first run in the Asics GEL-Nimbus 26 purchased last wknd, a fireball sensation developed under my Lt. forefoot once my second mile was reached, continued until I had to stop roughly one mile later & although the discomfort dramatically improved afterwards, a slight burning sensation remained for a few hours. Other than that & the USD price of course, I absolutely love everything else, especially the overall feel.
    Unfortunately, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 I ordered a couple of days later & received yesterday are two big, leading me to replace w/a pair of Brooks Glycerin 21, especially after reading that wearing GTS might end up backfiring w/my supination, despite having, get this, flat feet 😳, nonetheless, it's too bad the Glycerin doesn't have a gusseted tongue though, which is kind of like wearing a seatbelt for me & we all know, wearing a seatbelt can save someone's life, unless riding a motorcycle of course 😬

      Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your story! You can try swapping out the sockliners and put the Brooks one in the Nimbus and see if that fixes the issue.

    Thanks for the review! Subscribed! Exactly what I was looking for. I have been a fanboy of the Glycerins for many versions, but recently have moved to the Nimbus (25), but still not fully convinced (although they are sooo soft). Also not convinced because these are a bit too tight in the toe box in comparison with the Brooks. As I am a very heavy runner (~120kg), which ones do you think are the best? Shall I get back to my first love?

    • @run-are

      I think the foam in the Glycerin will suit you better. It will last a lot longer than the Nimbus.

    Which would you recommend for a 6'0" 180lb guy who is just starting out in running? These would be my first shoes, I've only run 10km so far.
    Great presentation btw

      @run-are  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@danielemoronti9258 They both would be great in my opinion. It depends on if you like a softer ride or a firmer more energetic ride. Both shoes are a great shoe to start out your running journey. The Brooks will last longer and the Nimbus will be a little more cushy and comfortable.

    Thank you so much for this excellent review. Which one do you recommend for training for the half-marathon run and long run? (now I am wearing asics Novablast 3)

    • @run-are
      @run-are  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd actually go the Novablast 4 if you are in the market for a new training shoe. It's better than both of these 2 in my opinion. To answer your question though, Id pick the Glycerin 21.

    which shoe would you say is better for walking or being on your feet all day?

    • @run-are
      @run-are  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on what you prefer, if you really like a soft experience the Nimbus is the best shoe. If you don't like too much softness and find softness unstable then the Glycerin is the better shoe. Both are very comfortable shoes and both are suitable for your requirements.

      Before settling for either of these I'd say you might want to try a pair of Adrenalines coz you mention being on your feet all day...........

    I just got the Gel-Nimbus 26 today. I'm 6'2 at 257 lbs. A bit obese but losing weight. I currently have the Clifton 9 and Gel-Cumulus 25. I have shin splints so I need plush. Are the Glycerin 21 GTS good? I have more of a neutral stride.

    • @run-are
      @run-are  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the Nimbus will be fine for you, they are a pretty stable shoe. The Glycerin GTS is much the same as the normal Glycerin but with some stability features that doesn't sound like you really require if you are neutral.

    • @drumma4lyfe06
      @drumma4lyfe06 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@run-are Thanks. I LOVE the Gel-Nimbus 26. Extremely cushioned. I don't wear the Gel-Cumulus anymore. No shock absorption at all; I can feel it through my shins on every surface. I'm probably going to get the Bondi 8 next. The guy at the store watched me walk and run. He said I have a little stability issue but overall, I'm neutral so I think that's why he suggested the Glycerin GTS 21
