ciao Giorgio, if I may, here's some non-requested feedback. It would have been a bit more useful to 1) keep displaying the team on the side, while you were talking about it. Now we can just have a quick glance at it; 2) write out the name of the team on the video; 3) link the themes in the description. Other than that, thank you for the video and congrats on your English!
Grazie Alessandro ;) Yeah, I couldn't quite figure out how to display the themes in an interesting way; the side-by-side idea is great though, I'm so mad for not having thought of that! I think I did write out the name for SynthWave '84, I'm not sure why I stopped (I probably just forgot to write the rest haha). About the linking the themes, I thought of doing that, but since most people would just go to VS Code to download them, I guess I avoided the hassle. It could still help some people though... Thank you so much for the feedback! I wish more people gave me some. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I do agree that one dark pro is the best. However, Dracula should be in the top 3, in my opinion as it is one of the best. The only problem with Dracula is that it is too colorful that can be distracting. One Dark Pro on the other hand makes it super easy to find the end bracket of a function, as everything is just colored so well.
Two years ago after watching this video, I researched especially the syntax colors between One dark pro and Dracula. I used both for few days and researched especially the syntax colors. Tried to look for meaningful coloring. I almost was gonna stick with one dark pro. They both has almost similar meaningful syntax highlighting that make sense. But found one mistake in the objects syntax colors in JavaScript. And then eventually I found the Dracula perfect. And I'm still using it. By the way, a darker version of dracula is available with the same syntax colors too which i use.
Why are you showing themes for 2s and the rest is your face on the screen? I mean, I don't care how you look, I care how the themes look. The titles of parts are #1 #2.. Completely useless names, I don't know what do they stand for. It should've been called by theme names themselves. Rest is just fine. Focus on the important things next time.

bro I was so bored working on vs code and was thinking to get a new theme, thanks for your suggestion, I am using Tokyo night right now and loving it. I don't think I am going to be bored with this theme anytime soon.....
I prefer Popping and Locking Black theme, along with GlassIt and VSCode Icons. Perfect for for your eyes, and with GlassIt you can set transparancy to your window. Save it as a Workspace file, and done.
Subscribing just for your enthusiasm and sort of a cheery disposition. Like one of the other commenter said you could display the theme alongside for better viewing experience. I just wanna ask you one question though, does the mouse still live with you?
Versatility: I can feel the pain. Go, Python, shell, XML, JSON, YAML make not for a good combo. This also applies to Vim themes. I also stopped using One Dark Pro after the change to Go handling in VS Code a few months back.
The only thing I hate about one dark pro is its docstrings. They have the same colour as the strings which is so distracting. Is there a way to change it?
a very unique video out there, never excepted much to be honest when I decided to search TH-cam for nice vs code themes but your video is really something. nice picks 👍 and nice video 👍👍
My favourite is Brackets Dark (remember the good old days?), I've been using it on Atom for years. Making the jump to VS Code now and was chuffed to see the theme existed here too... Only to find out it doesn't support LESS/SCSS files on VS Code - no idea why!!? Oh well, on the hunt for a new one I guess, maybe it's time for a change.
So, I just took a look at Tokyo Night. It's by far my favorite... almost. Atom Dark Pro is also my go-to theme, as the color palette is so easy on the eyes and easy to read each code segment etc. I do however, enjoy Tokyo Night besides ONE thing (as far as I can tell). Variables are a dull blue/grey color - I want them to be red as in Atom Dark Pro (and many other themes). They are used so often and so much, that I need to be able to tell them apart and make them stand out. Is it possible to adjust colors in different themes? If so, I'd love to make a few tweaks to the Tokyo Night theme for myself.
Great overview. Honestly great quality video from a small TH-camr. I found it useful/helpful. Themes are opinionated but I like that you gave scenarios and your opinion. Very helpful! It really gave me a prospective on what my pros and cons were between each one that I might not think about initially. Constructive criticism time, I can visibly see you just learned to edit videos. Because on TH-cam at start, it’s either you over or under fit on editing (people who start TH-cam in general do one or the other)… You are editing transitions too fast, I had to rewind a few times and make sure I pause at the exact time to see something I wanted to see… each time I wanted to see something. Regardless good overview
I used to use VScode unti l realized how slow the app was, and how more productive and efficient I am with Vim. One thing i do like about VScode is how easy it is to costumize it.
Hey, next time when doing a list of visuals, make sure to show the visuals for more than 2 seconds. I mean, what else do we want to see? Are you intentionally wants to piss everybody off?
For me, colourful and diverse syntax and versatility are important. I can easily change the background in the settings and I already have a custom one.
VIBRANCY broke my VS code! I installed it, didnt like it (its too distracting) and I cant uninstall it due to corrupt file. Now not only am I stuck with vibrancy, my vs code is fucking slow too.
Some where good not gonna lie. You could try sonokai, everforest, rose-pine, catppuccin, nightfox, there ayu too. For lite theme, personally i think solarized is the best
So... I'm never recording with my Invisalign again lol
The lisps are the best thing about this video 😂
@@theanimegamer2048 He's got a pretty face, goes well with the list :D
we came here for themes anyway mate
I would prefer to see more of the actual themes instead of your face. I wanted to compare them without having to check each one out by myself
I had the same thought.
Yep
He's smile is too creepy
That was rude
@@zabantak no it wasnt?
Your face is dominating the entire video. I love to really see the themes for a while instead
😂
@@Abhi-Mithoo😂
showcase the theme, not your face
really
(❁´◡`❁)
i love how every top list whenever you present the slot you have to say “in my opinion” or you get attacked
one dark and night owl will be all you ever need.
This is great content!
I would have liked to see more images of each theme tho
You're totally right, thanks for the feedback!
Try Attentio theme, custom made it and has awesome token colors.
Tomorrow Night Eighties is my best theme of all time. After more than +15 years of programming.
Tell me bro it's your theme 😂

In my case I like 'cobalt2' theme and 'ayu' try out it's ammmazing

I'm a huge Undertale fan, and hearing heartache in a programming video shocked me so much. I'm speechless.

The beginning was hilarious (and relatable) to me!
So true LMAO

0:04: When you play csgo and get flashed
The default Dark theme in Visual Studio (not vscode) is probably one of the most perfectly designed themes ever made. Its a 10/10 for all 3 points.
for years I haven't been able to decide between gruvbox and tokyo night.
0:23 Yes when I flex something to friends, they'd be like "Oh can you locate this person for me" "Do you know how to get the password" haha

The themes video I was looking for. Thanks
I was watching it to learn more about themes, but ending up having fun, lol, that's cool
Tokyo Night FTW! Love it love it love it. City Lights theme also makes my eyes smile :-)
Lol the intro got me so bad, you have my subscribe bro, keep creating great contents.

Celestial is an amazing dark theme with high readability and has an apt color scheme. It is a very underrated theme actually.
I feel like Synthwave '84 shoulda been on this list somewhere :/
You really deserve more subscribers bro, keep going
Why you don't mention the name of themes on the video?
Tokyo Night is goated
will never get tired of it
comes to see themes, sees guy's face 90% of the time
I like your energie, so unique.
Keep on!
Thank you!
grandissimo video super divertente e utile :D , aggiungi anche qualche tema per colorblind come me next time ahhaha
Material Ocean is SOOO good…I used one dark pro for a couple of months but then I just got bored of it…
The only thing I hate about one dark pro is its docstrings. They have the same colour as the strings which is so distracting. Is there a way to change it?
nice, was looking for "Vibrancy"! thanks a lot
Enjoy!
I started programming with atom, I've stuck with the theme until I switched to gruvbox as a joke that never ended.
Dracula will always be my favorite 🧛💕
a very unique video out there, never excepted much to be honest when I decided to search TH-cam for nice vs code themes but your video is really something.
nice picks 👍 and nice video 👍👍
Glad you liked it!
would've loved to see more photage of the themes showcased here , we only got few seconds of each one. i love you video though
whats ur font used in here, that font is so clean
Fira Code, and I agree it's really clean (wait until you see its font ligatures!)
the intro caught me off guard so bad

@4:05 is a transition that’s way too fast for example
nice ranking for sure
Uh I use NightOwl for neovim and Dracula for vscode, which is (beautifully) at the rank of 9th and 8th :)))
Could you please make longer intros and show your face during the video more often?
What is the theme at 0:24 ?
It looks like Atom's Monokai theme-really clean!
After playing with a lot of different themes, my number one is Dracula. I like One dark pro dark also.
My number one is a bit of an odd-ball: Makinda Dark, with a few customisations to make it great for dev work.
sublime text 4 theme (15,6k installs) my top theme, absolutely perfect❤
How about "Midnight Prism"? I think it's really cool!
I used to use VScode unti l realized how slow the app was, and how more productive and efficient I am with Vim. One thing i do like about VScode is how easy it is to costumize it.
whats vim?
Great video bro!
A little update synthwave84 has improved since then and doesn't lag which makes it in atleast top 5
Man, you dont know how much this help me got many references. Thanks!
Agreed. I have tried many. After 1 or days mac I keep coming back to One dark pro.
what we need is how theme look like, not your face
Hey, next time when doing a list of visuals, make sure to show the visuals for more than 2 seconds.

I just knew one dark would be at the top, it's too good
Andromeda themes are really awesome
Why no one ever mentioned the Bearded Theme?
omg I love #4😍😍😍
Thank you. I really like it! So, I installed all 12. lol😂😂
Thanks a lot Sir!! Helped a lot.
this guy is underrated
bel video, ma cos'è quel parallelepipedo blu vicino alla pallina da tennis 🤔
The guy hacking at 5:29 is just in TH-cam LOL
Great video! What font do you use in this video?
Fira Code, really nice font if you like ligatures!
Alright, Field Light 100% caught me off guard. The preview does NOT do it justice at all imo.
For me, colourful and diverse syntax and versatility are important. I can easily change the background in the settings and I already have a custom one.
That’s what I did. I use community material palenight high contrast but I changed the background to a more dark blue purple color
Good video! But I much prefer light themes with dark characters. Maybe an off-white background.
Try Oceanic Next with Babel Syntax highlight extension. You'd love it
Great content bro
if you like use this theme "night owl" not your blue one there's another black amoled (pitch black) version which have most best color palette
Material theme still reigns supreme
bruh i enjoyed coding with the contrast theme you pointed out at 1:36 💀
It still looks better than the default theme so I can't judge you 😭
what is its name?
Interesting video bro
Appreciate it :)
I came look for new themes and literaly the ones mentioned were all already got.
bro you can be the next ice poseiden
Actually legit. Thanks!
Thanks Giorgio!
you're improving more and more 😍
Why your face shows up more time than themes? Change video title - Ranking the BEST facial expression ?!
There's no ranking in theme it's just a matter of personal preference.
I use pink flower, I like it the most for day coding.
Also am I wrong or is the song in #1 from Endwalker? ;)
You ranked your list in the description with time stamps, for that I will subscribe
VIBRANCY broke my VS code! I installed it, didnt like it (its too distracting) and I cant uninstall it due to corrupt file. Now not only am I stuck with vibrancy, my vs code is fucking slow too.
wait why do you have only 536 followers? your content is really nice and comparable to some very popular TH-camrs!
am i the only on who thinks default dark is the best?
Tokyo Night is the best for me by far. I feel One Dark Pro too light for me during night.
I also just installed Tokyo Night after reading your comment and that was exactly what i was looking for..
which one of tokyo night? i have set tokyo night dark enhanced, what about that?
can i ask how did you get those font?
Just search up 'font family' in your VS Code settings (ctrl/cmd + ,)
I'm using Fira Code (Nerd Font) if you're wondering :)
Some where good not gonna lie. You could try sonokai, everforest, rose-pine, catppuccin, nightfox, there ayu too. For lite theme, personally i think solarized is the best
To me Dracula Soft is the best. Idk somehow this theme makes my eyes comfortable whether night or day time
what font are you using?
