I actually had a girl on Tinder who I started messaging with. In her profile, she said she was 26. When we started talking, after some back and forth, she confessed that she was actually 16 and was trying to lose her virginity. It was a really creepy moment but I had to tell her that we couldn't continue communicating.

This is the issue, to be charged, a crime has to have been committed, which requires a victim. The guy didn't commit a crime, he just THOUGHT he was. It is like, say you offer to sell someone some heroin, they show up to buy it, but you don't have any heroin, you just give them a bag of flour, then you call the cops.. No one bought or sold heroin, so no crime was ever committed in the eyes of the law... and now the guy that was looking to buy the heroin heads back home, gets rid of all of his prior drug paraphernalia, erase all evidence, and avoids his other drug dealers,, and now the sting that HAD been in place and ready to execute a search warrant is dead and over with.
