    IT'S DONE!!! After weeks of revisions in Lego studio and several more deciding how to flesh out the interior, it's COMPLETE! As with my last Castle build, my intent was to make a completely enclosed fortress that could, this time, open up instead of come apart to view and play with the inside with a heavy focus on detail. Enjoy!
    If you'd like to download the Studio File that started the build design yourself you can find it here:

    Awesome castle. In its total form it is obviously big, but I like that in its components it is similarly sized to official lego sets. The different sections are not overly large. Building big is easy, this build has nice constraints. I spotted the nice scale immediately in the slender towers, very elegant.

    very impressive and beautiful MOC!
    A few things I'd find even more impressive:
    1. The stonework (rocks) could stick out a bit more. The transition to the castle walls is too smooth in my opinion.
    2. What's the main gate about? If in theory there was another wall I get it. But as a stand alone castle I don't understand the composition. If you cannot get through the heavy main gate... you could just climb up at the side? ... That's a bit irritating. Maybe if you'd give the idea of another wall on the side (that's opened up so you can see the inner yard).

    • @sir_wesley86
      @sir_wesley86  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      great thoughts! yea the rocks I actually added AFTER I built the main structure with pieces that I had available. I ended up making a MUCH larger rock section in studio which looked amazing but I didn't have enough to do IRL :D also, the end result was more for play features and look over practicality which I tried to include where I could. thanks for your comment!

    How much did it cost you?
    And why not submit your castle to Lego Ideas?

    • @sir_wesley86
      @sir_wesley86  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great questions! I’d say those prices cost me about $600-700. I did a pick a brick order to see how much it would cost on the lego shop and it was about 800 maybe? It’s just above 9000 pieces as is. I didn’t submit it because it doesn’t meet the requirements to be considered but I do have it in lego studio format so anyone else can build it! Glad you like it!

    • @sir_wesley86
      @sir_wesley86  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ordering the parts from legos pick a brick would be best as you’d get free shipping and be able to get most of it in one order. I don’t recommend trying to buy sets that have the pieces this would need. You could look at the inventory on rebrickable, see what you already have and then order the rest from pick a brick. Then get what lego didnt have available from bricklink. Good luck!!
