Free DL on SoundCloud if anyone wants it. Started this last week, and got the idea that I could maybe try and submit it to Sawteeth's Jungle Fatigue Vol. 4 comp album. I started too close to the deadline though, and was having some trouble getting the mix to not be super harsh in the higher frequencies. Might revisit this track at a later date, but for now I just want to get it up and get back to working on part 2 of the best of 2023 mixes. Hope y'all enjoy o7.
Nah, I’m just in Sawteeth’s discord server. I would assume he’s the one with connections to 4am Breaks, though I’ve never even interacted with Sawteeth and I’m barely active in that server to begin with, so I honestly don’t know.
Tbf, a lot of the more melodic/musical elements of this track are from Green Bay Wax's "Pandemonium Z" sample pack/library, and I don't think I could've made stuff like that either lol. My work on the track was basically just programing/arrangement for the drums, bassline, pads, FX, and vocals, which isn't exactly super easy, but you don't really need much (if any) knowledge of music theory for those sorts of things. It mostly just comes down to having a good sense of rhythm & timing.
