My mom never used blush products, she always used her lipstick, which was red. For a long time I thought that’s what you used for blush! Lol!

Honestly this looks ALMOST like the Scott Barnes way of doing makeup. I did do that look but the way this whole new tik tok trend thing is kinda waste bc the foundation covers majority of the blush and contour. So therefore you have to use the triple amount of products.

I feel like this could be useful for really pigmented products like the Rare Beauty blushes
I’ve been in the beauty industry for 21 years now. This is how I do my makeup, it gives a more seamless finish for me. Didn’t realize this was a “hack”.
Lipstick as blush is so old school. It's been done in the 70's, 80's and 90's because there wasn't any blush, concealer, highlight, bronzer back then. We had to use whatever we had back then and the black liner for lips that everyone is doing was my idea first before everyone else started doing it. There wasn't much makeup we can use back then.

I've used a little lipstick as blush in a pinch if I didn't have any makeup with me and needed a little cheek color. But, as you pointed it, lipsticks and other lip products have a lot more emollient properties, oils etc. My skin would be in full revolt if I used that directly on my skin like that! The first look was beautiful!

I’ve always conceal and contour before putting foundation on. Always looks snatched and to me more flawless 🖤🤍🖤🤍 also love love love you so much you’re a doll
I also don’t blend it out I put my foundation where there is nothing on my skin then use the foundation to help me blend the concealer and contour out helps keep the color better

I think it’s so funny that people are starting to do this because I’ve been doing it for so long and LOVE IT. I like using cream products underneath (like contour, concealer, highlighter) and then foundation and then powder products on top :)
