Note: a light wipe of non-conductive silicone dielectric grease(using gloves) will protect the circuit board and allow the install to be easier

You forgot very important things , is a two different types of the silver key some of them got one battery and same got two battery. Looks everything the same but you can fit the electric stuff inside.

Great Video! Question: Is it possible to just change the rear panel of the key fob with the rear panel of the new key fob ( does it pop off)? I have lost the rear panel of my original key and do not want to change the complete housing. Thanks!

I ordered from the link the one you posted but it's totally different one.
Me too and unless I'm doing something wrong, the new fob's insides don't come out like they do in the original key. Only the cover for 1 battery pops open on the blank side. I ordered the key fob as per the link above.. Help???

I recommend searching on ebay for the correct listing. I'm noticing these sellers update or change listing.
@@PANZERSGARAGE I can't find the key shell like the one in the video on eBay or Amazon. I have a 2007 c280 and the only one I found was on eBay was a programmable one where I could not take out the circuitry and replace it with mine.
I got new rolacment key and programmesd 150 total
What about ir sensor for convenience features ?
Still works as long as the sensors on the door handles are in good shape

Then the case you have is a aftermarket one. Those have 1 battery, I've updated the case link for the newer style key(in video)

Yes, please re-post the correct link to the new fob as the link now, above, is not correct. Perhaps at one time there was another link because it seems many have been successful. Just so you know the key you linked is completely different than the one in the video. No Benz logo on it and different way of exchanging circuit boards

The manufacture has changed the casing completely to the one you just ordered. A updated version so you will
@@PANZERSGARAGE That’s unfortunate. The circuit board from the key shown in this video doesn’t fit in the updated shell so you may as well remove the link.

I just send back the new key because nobody can program a Mercedes key. You have to go to the dealership and they are asking 400 to 500!!!
