King Charles Makes Major Announcement on Return to Public Duties

- Buckingham Palace has released this new photo of the King and Queen.
The picture was taken in the Buckingham Palace garden on the morning of 10th April, the day after Their Majesties’ 19th wedding anniversary.
The palace shared that Charles is ready to resume some public-facing duties and very grateful to his medical team for their continued care and expertise.
“His Majesty’s medical team are very encouraged by the progress made so far and remain positive about The King’s continued recovery”.
To mark the milestone, the King and Queen will embark on a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday.
During their visit, they will engage with medical specialists and patients.

Most of The Commonwealth doesn't have a Monarch. It's only 15/56 of us which do, so a small minority of The Commonwealth. He's Head of The Commonwealth, not its King. William might not even be the next Head depending on who they vote for. It may or may not be William, unlike for the 15 REALMS, wherein William will be King regardless of whether he is Head of The Commonwealth or not. That is what separates being a Commonwealth nation in the association from being an actual Realm of the Monarch's where he is and holds the title of King of ___________in the 14 other nations which he reigns over. Charles III has NO constitutuional title or role in the other 41 Commonwealth countries. So, they are not the Royal Family of the Commonwealth at all. A common misconception about what The Commonwealth actually is vs what people believe or think it is.

We are well aware there are Commonwealth Realms and Commonwealth republics.
The message was a reference to the support the king has received from "The Commonwealth" were every country is an equal member.

I understand the messge, but it is erroneous. The 15 Commonwealth Realms DO NOT represent the rest of The Commonwealth. Those republics you speak of are republics because they removed Elizabeth as their Head of State which is why the statement is erroneous. Continuing to refer to the Commonwealth of Nations as if it's still the British Commonwealth where most of the nations are Realms when it's now the opposite is why so many people still don't understand what it actually is and what Realms are and how we differ from the rest of the Commonwealth which is not reigned over as we are. The Commonwealth is just an association. Your mentioning that they are all equal contradicts what you are saying because using the status of 15 of us who are the minority to describe the majority of the Commonwealth would indicate that we are dominant because most of the countries don't have a royal family because they rejected Elizabeth as their Queen when they became republics. There is also at least one other member nation which has its own monarchy. Associations don't have monarchies, Realms do.

The commentator was speaking broadly that the king is widely respected throughout the Commonwealth.
If at some future date the Head of the Commonwealth is some country's president and that president suffers an accident I wonder whether someone from one of the Realms has a moan if someone wishes him good health.
Excellent news that King Charles is doing so much better! May his health continue to improve. He still needs to be careful and not over-do things. That's difficult for a workaholic like him.

This news will certainly speed up King Charles healing faster with more public duties especially visiting cancer hospitals encouraging patients undergoing treatments. The American Revolution brought Independence to our country , however cancer does not discriminate so our personal well wishes and happiness for the good news is always welcomed to anyone who has unfortunately been undergoing cancer treatments. I should know, I am a 14 year cancer survivor.
