People tend to group "the elderly" as this homogeneous category, when in fact there's a huge range of functioning...Mick Jagger is still performing, dancing around the stage, and he's 80. (Of course there's sexism too; Madonna is still performing at 65, but a lot of people vilify her and say she should quit b/c "she's old")....I could go on and on, but I wish our society was more discerning, and less dismissive of people past the age of 50 or 60.

Narcissistic personality disorder is almost always linked to childhood trauma, it locks the sufferer mentally at the point of trauma and stops them truly growing into adulthood. Don't waste your time pitying them though, narcissists like their mental illness. Trumpenstein's orange monster is no average narcissist, it is a psychopath. I worked for a psychopath and the patterns are identical to Durr Trumnpenfuhrer's, including the micro expressions. When a malignant narcissist/psychopath gets caught out you can see their narcissist's mask slip and you can see the rot at their centre, the evil flows from their eyes. When you watch Trumpenstein's orange monster ignore it's air accordion playing, ignore it's word salads, concentrate only on it's boat race, you'll quickly see what it is as clear as an azure sky in summer. Everything it does is to draw peoples' eyes away from it's, it knows without distraction it is an open book.

I'm 73. My 50 year old daughter; who works in the medical field, thanks me for 1) doing my best to take care of myself , and, 2) not pretending to be younger than I am. It's not a big deal. Simple, Biden is who he is. Trump pretends to be something that he's not. Truth is true....no alternatives.
It's easier to remember truth. Then you don't have to make up another lie to cover the one you got caught for.
I don't hate the haters. I want them to take a breath, think on their own and see the truth. Nobody wins by hating.

So how bright is a guy who took the US from 1.4% inflation to 9% in less than two years? How bright is the one who failed to get American hostages back, including Gerskovitch (allowing a basketball player to return)? How bright is the guy who has raised consumer prices by almost 20%?
To be fair, if you watch much older interviews when Trump was in his forties, he is much more suave and uses more complex language. In 2016, though, he was only a tiny bit better than now.

There is a genetic disposition that gets inherited and massively increases the risk of getting dementia, but there's no guarantee that the disease really breaks out in every individual who has the disposition. Even a really bad guy like Trump deserves the basic level of fairness to be judged by his own behavior and not by his late father. And there is a lot of behavior to be be judged for sure.

Family friend of ours, recently had to move to a care facility because of her Alzheimers, you can have a completely normal conversation with her about topics she knows very well and 20 minutes later she can't remember we had the conversation.

I'm much younger than both of them (and female) and on bad days I walk like President does at times. My reason is horrific truck wreck-spinal cord injuries and TBI. We all have something to deal with. Husbands grandmother was mentally sharp as a tack but she had an orthopedic disease that was eating her bones away. So to see her walk you might think frail, but sit down and talk to her and she could set you straight!

My Aunt died Dec 29, 2023. She was 99 years old, sharp as a tack. She talked (argued) politics with me up until the middle of December. Yes, she was in a wheelchair. Yes, she walked with a walker. Yes, she looked frail. But, cripe, she could hold a discussion on just about anything up until the last 15 days. Biden is fine. Trump not so much.

On Thanksgiving 2012 we noticed something was off with my grandma, but we decided she was just old. We visited my other side for Christmas but saw her in January, and we had to admit something was wrong. Then by March we had to look into hiring help.

My mom was 90 when she died and right up to end she was sharp. To be so with it for years older than djt. My father passed at 77 and worked as a Professional Engineer, a highly.technical field right up to the last months of his life.

I saw an episode describing the way Trump stands being an obvious indicator of dementia and it made so much sense to me. My step father had it and he stood like that, as well as my grandfather.
I don’t think well-informed people have been fooled by Trump at all. The first time I heard him speak, I was appalled. I am even more concerned and shocked now.
I was also appalled when I heard Donald speak, especially since I always use closed captions, In print, his disconnected thoughts and incoherence are glaring.
