I *love* seeing what you wear day to day, Jennifer! Thank you. I do wish I were a dress person but truthfully the last time I wore a dress was when my younger daughter married in 2003! What I am trying to do is make a capsule wardrobe based on 15-20 basic pcs (pants and tops) but paying more attention to the staples I can use to change things up. Watching your videos made me realize that I tended to consider my outfits as immutable and rarely combined anything. I'm paying more attention to ways I can interchange and use staples to create new outfits, which has led me to be much more selective regarding colors and patterns when I buy new items. It's fun -- thx for the inspiration. I really liked the two versions of the long pants you wore this week!

I need to measure myself and figure out my size and try again, because you make dresses seem really comfortable, and you just look so put-together and confident - I'd love to feel that way too! :)
Elegant, that's the word I was looking for. Pretty, yet modest, but not too buttoned-up, if that makes sense. Dresses have always been a formal thing for me, but I like how a cardigan helps to lessen the formality. Promising myself to get in a dress this summer, for sure!! :)

I was just thinking how much you suit the coral floral top from tjmaxx but then the next day you looked so lovely in the neutral cardigan, then on Saturday you teamed a coral and a neutral which also worked really well, that's clever planning. Jennifer, about having something to wear in addition to your 10 item wardrobe for special occasions; you could buy a dark coloured classic, one colour, say, shift style dress which won't date for years. It's just a suggestion that works for me, and I've worn mine for wedding receptions, job interviews (with a jacket over the top), concerts and a funeral. After 5 years it only just feels like it's been out more times than I have, but it is the sort of timeless and elegant dress that (hopefully) won't look out of date. You could have a dark one for Autumn (or Fall)/winter and a light coloured, or white one for spring summer.

Thanks for the inspiration! I try to make a point of complementing women I see at market or other places in my community who dress presentable. So tired of the sloppy sweats and t shirts that people here in my Oregon town wear everywhere! When we complement people they are more likely to repeat it. ;D

I really want to do this capsule wardrobe thing. I am completely overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I have so many clothes...from when I was bigger and smaller, pregnant & nursing or not either. I just do not know how to create a core wardrobe out of all this. Of course I know what good basic pieces are, but I am a bit more eclectic in my taste (for example peasant skirt, espadrilles, peasant tops, leggings with a tunic). I love the looks you chose, and how they look on you. I am built completely differently and although I love that chambray dress...It would look awful on me. My style is a tad less Talbot's for myself, although I appreciate the quality and timeless sense of that classic look for others. I don't know how to turn my style into a core look because I would not wear a peasant shirt / peasant skirt every day, but they are definitely part of my style a couple of times a month (especially in the Spring / Summer weather). I love all your videos. 😊💕
Refreshing! I had to delay setting up my summer wardrobe ( long story involving hospital stays and subsequent academic catch-up), but it'll get sorted this week. Navy cardigans are so useful and more flattering than black for most skin tones in my opinion. Thank you for the great vlog 📹

Hi Jennifer. Great video, thank you! And for those short fuzzy hairs that are growing I recommend you try a gel, like Eco Style Gel. I use this gel with a toothbrush (just a little bit) and it works great for me to tame those hairs : )

My hair is growing back too since my babe is 7 months so I relate! Your hair looks very pretty though. You must have started with enough hair that losing some wasn't too horrible.
Hi Jennifer! I find I have fuzzy baby hairs growing out of my head on occasion too! I have stick straight Asian hair, that doesn't lay softly like fine hair. I have found that pomade, or even lotion, helps slick some of the hairs down. Hair spray just makes the baby hairs stick up more on me. Anyways, thought I'd pass that along! Thanks for your video! I love hearing what you had on your agenda each day... =)

Thanks for the inspiration! I try to make a point of complementing women I see at market or other places in my community who dress presentable. So tired of the sloppy sweats and t shirts that people here in my Oregon town wear everywhere! When we complement people they are more likely to repeat it. ;D

I really want to do this capsule wardrobe thing. I am completely overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I have so many clothes...from when I was bigger and smaller, pregnant & nursing or not either. I just do not know how to create a core wardrobe out of all this. Of course I know what good basic pieces are, but I am a bit more eclectic in my taste (for example peasant skirt, espadrilles, peasant tops, leggings with a tunic). I love the looks you chose, and how they look on you. I am built completely differently and although I love that chambray dress...It would look awful on me. My style is a tad less Talbot's for myself, although I appreciate the quality and timeless sense of that classic look for others. I don't know how to turn my style into a core look because I would not wear a peasant shirt / peasant skirt every day, but they are definitely part of my style a couple of times a month (especially in the Spring / Summer weather). I love all your videos. 😊💕

Refreshing! I had to delay setting up my summer wardrobe ( long story involving hospital stays and subsequent academic catch-up), but it'll get sorted this week. Navy cardigans are so useful and more flattering than black for most skin tones in my opinion. Thank you for the great vlog 📹

Hi Jennifer. Great video, thank you! And for those short fuzzy hairs that are growing I recommend you try a gel, like Eco Style Gel. I use this gel with a toothbrush (just a little bit) and it works great for me to tame those hairs : )
The Tj Maxx red floral blouse is definitely my favorite thing that you wear. Let me know if you ever want to auction it off. 😂 Nice video! My hair is growing back too since my babe is 7 months so I relate! Your hair looks very pretty though. You must have started with enough hair that losing some wasn't too horrible.

Hi Jennifer! I find I have fuzzy baby hairs growing out of my head on occasion too! I have stick straight Asian hair, that doesn't lay softly like fine hair. I have found that pomade, or even lotion, helps slick some of the hairs down. Hair spray just makes the baby hairs stick up more on me. Anyways, thought I'd pass that along! Thanks for your video! I love hearing what you had on your agenda each day... =)

I decluttered my closet the other day but came across your 10 item per season and am interested I am going back thru my closet and see what I can come with I liked your 4 words and loved your dress that was light blue but as a 67 year old I am not sure what I need.
