Ah Crystal Man. This used to be my least favourite stage in the game (curse those falling crystals). But the more I played the game the stage slowly started to grow on me. I really like the stage design and the music for this stages.
The Game Boy version of this level....has a branching path, and parts that seem to foreshadow the "everything is collapsing" levels of later Donkey Kong Country games.
thanks for uploading these videos. i'm a long time mega man fan, but i didn't know how useful the super arrow was in that room. had to come here after getting bested by them thrice in a row.
The falling crystals aren't even hard... Just jump as soon as one is falling, you just need good reflexes. You basically want Mega Man to graze over the top of the currently falling crystal. There's no point in trying to time them.
Thank you for your help! I didn't even know that you can use S. Arrow to get across that stage! It took some practice, but I finally got it! The falling crystals are so annoying. P.S. In part 5, Rush is sometimes replaced by S. Arrow?!?!? LOL
I think that this is how Capcom were reasoning when they used the Doc robots in "Mega Man 3"; they seem to have tried putting those bosses on stages that matched them as closely as possible.
Unpopular Stage? Roahm better not be watching you say that. You know how he is around crystals. But seriously, a dragon who prefers treasure over damsels? I still can't wrap my mind around it.
God, this stage from an aesthetic standpoint is just not good. None of the individual elements look appealing or go together. The colors don't compliment, and the weird mix of crystal and machinery makes it look like some devoid, uncomfortable, cold futuristic sci-fi world. Also, some of the assets like the crystal beams and cubes were plagiarized from Gemini Man's stage in Mega Man 3, so on top of looking unappealing, it also looks stale.
i really hate those falling crystals with passion....
Me too!
That's why i do star man before crystal man.
@@dagobertorodriguez8277
Star man's ability stops them?
@@Nekosage no, the shield takes a hit for you. So it's easier to go past the crystals.

That's what I meant when asking. My question was just a bit more vague than I meant it to be.

Absolutely graceful how you went thru this stage undamaged. Nice job.
This boss was designed by Yusuke Murata, the illustrator for both Eyebleach 21 and One-Punch Man.
CAN'T CLOSE MOUTH..
after seeing you super arrow through the crystals.
5 stars!
did you know that you can use the star crash to protect yourself from the falling crystals?

I always loved the look of this stage. Very impressive for 8-bit.
Star Crash is another good way to get past the falling crystals.
For real ?
I am going to try that.
Crystal Man uses his 4-crystal attack whenever you're too far away from him, but only if the previous crystals have already dissapeared.
This stage has the 2nd most groovy theme music. The 1st place honor goes to Shadow Man from MM3
I can imagine Flash Man appearing on this stage if he was used as a "Doc robot" in this game.

man wat would the word be without music
Cool video, man! Great!
For some reason, Crystal Man reminds me of Flash Man

AH, THIS FUCKING STAGE!!!
You got crystal eye mega man gotcha
'Tis the "shiny" factor. Ever wonder why dragons in fairy tails and such usually have giant hoards of money, gems, and treasure in their lairs?
Crystal man was easiest among here followed by napalm man
I always start with Gravity man, he have the easiest patter to beat even only with the Megabuster.
..crystal man looks very much like Snake Man.. (was snake man, wasn't it..)
..just catched my eye, dunno why^^"
unpopular? really? i was never good at well, any of these games, but i don't remember having more trouble with this stage than any of the others.
tuviste que haber practicado bastante para pasar el nivel sin que te tocara ningun enemigo me impresionas
yo lo vencí con el buster
Mega Man 5 was the easiest Mega Man game of the NES 6 to me. Stone Man's pattern in particular was dumb.
