I have watched several videos on PMP exams and mindset by big names. I found this video to be very useful as it focuses on something different. You have done a great job highlighting certain keywords in the questions to help understand how one should read them. This really makes it easier to eliminate some of the options and find the best sustainable answer.
Howzit bro, I hope you are well. I am preparing for my PMP exam on the 7th of December 2024. I came across your videos, and I stopped going through those big books and just doing questions. Your principles are doing wonders bro. Thank you for sharing your experience, hacks, and principles.
Great video!!!!!! Wow! I failed my PMP exam and am retaking it. This is exactly what I need! I suffer memory issues. But this is awesome!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
I failed on my first try and I'm scheduled for my retake. This is the first video I've found that is concise and straight to the point about how to answer questions.
You need to focus on the mindset of pmi institut more than the content , try to look for pmp mindsets and use third3rock notes to be able to understand it
For the first question discussed, all AI platforms are selecting option B as the answer. Chatgpt's Explanation: B (Convene a meeting): The project manager should first understand the full extent of the problem before communicating with the client or escalating it to the Change Control Board (CCB). By analyzing the defect with senior team members, you can determine the severity, possible solutions, and impact on the schedule. This will allow you to make informed decisions and develop a clear plan of action. Once the impact is well understood, the next steps (such as informing the client or submitting a change request) can be handled more effectively. and why not option D D (Submit a change request): A change request might be necessary, but it’s premature at this stage. You need to first assess the situation with the team and determine whether a formal change request is needed.
I passed my PMP Exam yesterday from the first attempt , thank you for all your effort i have learned from you a lot, your explanations and strategies where extremely helpful and the content you are providing are amazing, I really appreciate it Mohammed and thank you once again!!!
Is question 1 agile or predictive? I believe it's an agile question- in your principle number 5 you mentioned that agile does not go through a change process. Please clarify.
Thanks for the question and explanation Mohammed, the chosen answer contradicts to the principle 1 isn't it? Always investigate, ask and gather information before implementing but the explanation and arrival at option D isn't convincing , can you please help with an alternative solution of how you arrive at D?
Always when we have a cost/schedule/ scope change u always need a CR and the 1st question there is a defeact that force us to rework the prodct then we gonna be late from the schedule basline. That is why a change request is the solution
Hi Mohamed, Your website currently does not support entering an international number. I would suggest submitting a change request to the scope to fix the issue. Hope CCB can approve🤣
1. Always discuss, investigate, analyze, ask before deciding on solutions. 2. Never settle for delays or extra cost 3. Be a servant leader. 4. Value is gold. 5. Root cause analysis and MVP or demo are your mail tools. 6. Any change will go through a change request process. There is no change request process. 7. Your team members are the experts, not you! Make every decision with them. 8. The PM makes the decisions and handles the issues. 9. Everyone directly or indirectly involved is a stakeholder and must be added to the register and how they impact the project. 10. No matter if the project is completed or terminated, the closing phase must occur. 11. In a predictive project, your plan is your map. Constantly refer back to it. 12. Predictive project keywords: CCB, change control process, perform integrated change control process. 13. Agile project keywords: Sprint, iteration, Scrum, daily stand up, backlog, Kanban, product increment, product owner/manager. 14. When you or your team have no clue on what’s going on, SME is what you need. Or refer to past projects in the lesson learnt register. 15. When transitioning from predictive to agile, introduce agile concepts slowly (pilot project, inception deck). 16. Agile projects are self-organizing -meaning teams are in charge however the PM can still step in to manage and resolve conflicts. 17. An agile project will always need consistent feedback from the customer. 18. Never immediately reject a request or an opportunity - especially from a client.
Question 1 is B. D is incorrect. Your assumption needs to be removed. You contradict process controls and your own principle. You need to fully analyze and respond after. It was identified, but does not directly say it affects any baselines.
@@ericsmithers2952. Please Elaborate further on what I contradict. I’m not seeingng it. Perhaps the misunderstanding is within what happens during a change control process. The change control process includes analyzing. Below is the entire process. Just because a change is submitted doesn’t mean it’s 1. Project manager analyzes change request 2. Change request goes to the CCB 3. CCB rejects or approves 4. The team is notified of the approval or disapproval 5. If it is approved, the request then goes through the execution phase 6. The appropriate documentation is updated to reflect the effects of the change
@@MohammedRahman-xe4psthanks fot the videos and the work you're doing. I love these types of discussions and analysis... it's truly a trick question. My approach and understanding, based on the learning so far, would be as follows: 1. A software development project would aim for an agile/hybrid approach. 2. Agile involves less 'paperwork'-with formal change requests being minimized, as the focus is on responding to change rather than strictly following a plan. 3. To submit a change request, we need to know exactly what the change impacts in terms of costs, schedule, and scope. Without having this information prepared for the Change Control Board (CCB), the request could be declined, leading to further delays. 4. The question explicitly states 'first. Based on those Analysis I would also go with answer B.
@@monkeybone1711 firstly thank you for your comment it means a lot. And yes I agree with your breakdown. Note that these questions are entirely made up. The point of the question was to emphasize the change request when any change that affects the scope, budget or schedule comes up. In conclusion B is a great answer in this particular case
@@MohammedRahman-xe4ps I think the issue is that question D states "submit a change request", which is premature as others have stated. You would first analyze if a change request is needed prior to making a change request. The answer is B, first analyze the impact with your team.
@@tylerwilliamdewey8507 D is the correct answer because it includes the elements of B. When the project manager steps back to analyze the change before approval, they will undoubtedly consult with the team, as the team members are the experts. This aligns with the principle that emphasizes involving the team, who are often the subject matter experts, in the decision-making process. Therefore, B is part of D, making D the most comprehensive and accurate choice. However, it’s important to note that I created these questions to illustrate a point. You won’t encounter exam questions where two options like B and D overlap in this way. The PMP exam is designed to avoid such ambiguity in answer choices.

Correct. If anything this would be a risk and you would risk register then flesh out the resulting impacts. Then you implement the solution.
Very useful tutorial

The First Question of software development with defect is surely an agile approach. Do we have change control board in Agile also or only predictive.

@@mahfoud837 but there should not be any change request in Agile. I believe it’s and Agile scenario so the answer should be B
Why we have to choose option “D” for question 1.
