I never understood the trinity the entire time I was a Christian. I got so tired with getting the runaround whenever I asked pastors about it, I finally gave up the notion and only prayed to "God the Father." Alhamdulillah I found Islam at age 70.

As a person who was born a Roman Catholic, let me say that all Christians accept this ridiculous concept of the Trinity is because we are trained from childhood to accept as true whatever the priests tell us. So we don't care to challenge these doctrines.

Christianity was built perfectly to suit European people way of life such as alcohol , celeberating pagan holiday Christmas , living free , singing , eat pork , obessesion of having a statue or idol etc . Brother Paul, Salam Alaikom, Much blessings to you. I always believed Jesus was not God. My English teacher sent me to detention. One day I was reading a book called jesus of Islam and by the time I finished reading the book, I picked my head only to realise, Jesus was standing in front of me. I saw him like I would see a another human being. He looked nothing like the painting of him in salvadori mundi or other images of him. He was a serious prophet and a messenger.
(Peace be upon him). Its very sad Christian world turned a mighty message of a mighty prophet into a messages of idol worship by making attributes of trinity. Catholic Church sold the biggest lies in the universe.

    • @victorianosaldi5894
      @victorianosaldi5894 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The concept of ( GOD-YHWH) was not very simple throughout the entire Old Testament. The Jews were the only people with no image of a God.
The Israelites had no statue, no star, no animal, no half animal-human hybrid; nothing to wrap their minds around to define what "God was" . Their Ancient Near Eastern neighbors did.
Time and time again this idol-less religion led the Jewish people to create Idolatry ( symbolism) .
The concept of God was never simple. Jesus tells us in his usage of parables that it was never meant to be.

      1. Islam stands on the words of one person Jebreel who got no witness whatsoever. Whereas Bible commands for minimum TWO witnesses. Same is the case of human court system too.
      2. Jebreel spoke directly against :- 1.God of Bible, 2. the Messiah Yeshuah, 3. angel Gabriel, 4. Jewish prophets like Abraham, Issac, Jacob (Israel), Moses, Joshua, David, Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and so on. Also Jebreel spoke against the disciples of Messiah Yeshuah.
      3. Means, Jebreel stand all alone on one side and right from God Almighty, Messiah Yeshuah onward on other side. Still Muslim brethren feel they must give total importance to the words of Jebreel alone and discard the words right from God Almighty onward!
      4. Islamic prophet received revelations from Allah and he recorded it then and there on plain stones, camel bones, animal skin and palm tree leaves, with the help of Sahabis always available with him. Means, that was the original Quran. The Reference Quran!
Obviously Allah promised to protect and preserve that Quran for ever!
Now, the question is: Where is that Original Reference Quran recorded on on plain stones, camel bones, animal skin and palm tree leaves, as on today?
      5. Why did Caliph Abu Baker ordered the compilation of Quran, which was not commanded by Allah or prophet when Allah himself promised to protect his Quran? Means, Abu Baker had no faith in Allah's words, right? And he compiled a Quran with the help of Zyed Ibn Tabit. Obviously an unauthorized Quran! However even this unauthorized Quran was not complete! One ayath was missing in it for so many years! No one could identify or realize the grave mistake! Finally Zyed Ibn Tabit while revising the Abu Baker Quran, on orders of Caliph Uthman, remembered about the grave mistake and added the ayath in the Revised Uthman's Quran! And he ordered the destruction of all other Quran materials!!!
      6. Even the Revised Uthman's Quran had its own problems. Two solid Surahs were missing in it and also one ayath on stoning of adulterous women and verse of suckling the breast by adult men!
      7. Abdullah ibn Masʽood was one of the four most prominent Quran teachers appointed by Islamic prophet. He totally disapproved the Revised Uthman's Quran too! Then, what credibility Revised Uthman's Quran got ?
      8. Now Muslims use around 30 different ARABIC QURANS! See the links below please.
      a. Display of 26 versions of Arabic Quran @ Hyde Park , London
      th-cam.com/video/EsgphL9lGcc/w-d-xo.html
      b. Why are there over 30 different Arabic Qur’ans? - Quranic Corrections Ep. 3
      th-cam.com/video/EpsnXMZ5lEE/w-d-xo.html
      9. Here is a solid example for totally different Arabic Qurans.
FROM THE QUR'AN ACCORDING TO IMAM HAFS
      sihraani
      ... two works of magic ... 28:48
FROM THE QUR'AN ACCORDING TO IMAM WARSH
      saahiraani
      ... two magicians ... 28:48
Obviously "two works of magic" FROM THE QUR'AN ACCORDING TO IMAM HAFS cannot be exactly equal to "two magicians" FROM THE QUR'AN ACCORDING TO IMAM WARSH. Both cannot be true!
When that is the ground reality, many Muslim brethren still hold on to the belief that ""Allah sent the Final Testament, the Qur'an, and unlike the previous books, has never been changed.""

@@fedesetrtatio1 You're wrong. God didn't say that the trinity is made of God, Jesus, and Mery. Just who told you that? The Quran doesn't say so!
This goes to show your ignorance, and your lack of ethics (from the disrespectful way you replied). Are these the morals of the Christians now?
Let me give you a piece of advice: Next time, ask before you make bold claims, otherwise, you'll look stupid just like you do right now. And just to correct you, God merely said in the Quran to Jesus " Did you tell the people to worship you and your mother beside me" Allah didn't mention trinity in this verse at all. Now tell me smarty:
Are there people who worship Merry (the mother of God according to you) today? The answer is YES, there are.
Are there people worshipping Jesus? The answer is YES!
Are people who pray to Merry consider her to be part of the trinity? The answer is NO!
So God referring to the people worshipping Merry and Jesus beside Him doesn't mean describing them as worshiping a trinity!
You should thank me now that I did you a favor and thought you this, never make that claim again or you'll look bad! If you have anything you disagree with then put it politely, that's what a truth seeker does.

loooool !! chill dude! is that all you got? Well, I have to admit, the only thing you were right about is that it's Mary and not Merry... Actually, I was half asleep then, and yet I easily dismantled your point!
By the way, how can you say the Quran got the trinity wrong when there isn't even a unified definition among Christians themselves as to what it really means, even after the council of Nicea, there are disputes about the role and real place of each person in the Godhead.
And yes, we know that the basic understanding of trinity is three persons, co-equal, with the same essence, and each a fully god, yet not three gods but only one god (tri-unity).
And what makes you think that you Trinitarians are special? The Quran says: "Don't say three", three what? did it say, three Gods? Three persons? No. Just three. So that includes YOU Trinitarians as well because YOU say three (persons). The Quran didn't get it wrong, it left it open. Why? Well, In a way, the Quran slaps everyone who believes in some form of three deities all at the same time, including religions that existed before Christianity, which believed in three Gods as well. So you're wrong. Next time try not to impose your understanding on the Quran or add to it words that aren't there. By the way: the name of the very doctrine you're defending is not even said by your God .... like ... are you kidding me?? forget the name, not even the concept itself is explicit in your scripture!!! And even with the ambiguous verses that could refer to the divinity of Jesus, you would rather take the ambiguous verses over the clear verses that say that The Father is the only true God!!! you're hopeless!

The Islamic concept requires one's recognition of the sin, sincere repentance, having the intention to never commit that sin again and of course asking the creator to then forgive one. I remember the first time I met Abdal Hakim Murad (Timothy J Winter) in the Divinity Department at Cambridge University. He was in his office pouring over a book by the renewed NT scholar Geza Vermes. I did not ask him why he was reading Vermes but I suspect it was for an article he wrote later about the Trinity. I should say that I do not find Abdal Hakim Murad's views regarding the Trinity and the Atonement very convincing. If one accepts the Qur'an _a priori_ , as the absolute unquestioned axiomatic starting point for ones belief and practice, then of course one is going to reject the incarnation, the trinity and the atonement, but of course such an _a priori_ position is not going to be remotely convincing to non-Muslims. So what reasons does Abdal Hakim Murad adduce against these specifically Christian beliefs? To begin with I think that Abdal Hakim Murad is _only_ attacking a Magisterial Reformation doctrine of the Atonement, which is basically a form of penal substitution; but I would argue that most Christians (both now and historically) do not believe in penal substitution, and certainly the most renowned theologians (except Luther and Calvin) do not support it. Josef Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI), who can hardly be described as a revisionist or a liberal, wrote that many assume that "Christian faith in the Cross imagines a God whose unrelenting righteousness demanded a human sacrifice, the sacrifice of his own Son, and one turns away in horror from a righteousness whose sinister wrath makes the message of love incredible". (1) Ratzinger acknowledges that many think of the cross as demanding the sacrifice of God's own son to appease his wrath and (2) and that such a concept of "righteousness" leads one to "turn away in horror". So far Ratzinger and Abdal Hakim agree. However, Ratzinger goes on to say: "This picture is as false as it is widespread. In the Bible the Cross does not appear as part of a mechanism of injured right; on the contrary, in the Bible the Cross is quite the reverse: it is the expression of the radical nature of love that gives itself completely, of the process in which one is what one does and does what one is; it is the expression of a life that is completely being for others". Herbert McCabe OP, also a renowned Catholic theologian, says that penal substitution implies an "infantile" conception of God and makes us more compassionate than God. Rowan Williams, Sarah Coakley, David Bentley Hart, Ilaria Ramelli, etc., all agree with Ratzinger and McCabe that penal substitution is unbiblical and false. Moreover, I would argue that it is not accepted by the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Churches, the Coptic Churches, and by most Anglicans. So, Abdal Hakim Murad is _only_ really criticising a certain kind of Magisterial Reformation Protestantism descending principally from John Calvin.
With regard to the Trinity, I think it is best to commence with the Incarnation, since if the Incarnation is true then the Trinity is easier to accept. It seems to me that Abdal Hakim Murad is _not_ arguing that the Trinity is logically incoherent. But if it is not logically incoherent (or logically impossible) then it is at least logically possible. Now, it seems to me that the Incarnation is logically possible- or, in other words, that it doesn't contain a contradiction. You will say, perhaps, that God and man exclude each other _a priori_ : Christ cannot be both truly God and truly man simultaneously, just as a square and a circle cannot simultaneously coexist as a single object (a square-circle). This logic might appear convincing at first glance but it is really not convincing at all. And this is because x and y only exclude each other if x and y occupy the same logical space. There can be no such thing as a square-circle because both are shapes and shapes occupy the same logical space. And it is the same with such absurdities as man-tiger or man-snake because both are animals and therefore occupy the same logical space. But do God and man occupy that same logical space, such that God-man becomes logically impossible? Clearly not. I think all monotheists agree that God is _not in any of our categories whatsoever_ . (Surah Ikhlas: "Allahus Samad": Allah is absolutely unique). Since he is not in any of our categories whatsoever it follows that he does not occupy the same logical space as man; and therefore there is no _a priori_ contradiction in the notion of the God-man (as there is with square-circle or man-tiger). Now, needless to say, that does not _prove_ that the incarnation is true; it only removes the idea that it involves a contradiction.
It seems to me that basis of Abdal Hakim's denial of the Incarnation and the Trinity, aside from his _a priori_ commitment to the Qur'an, is that he thinks that the Incarnation is unscriptural. Now, in response to this I want to draw your attention to the fact that again Abdal Hakim is criticising the Magisterial Reformation more than Christianity _per se_ . The Reformers advanced the unscriptural doctrine of _sola scriptura_ as a basis for doctrine once they had rejected the authority of the Pope and the tradition. Therefore, all doctrines much be (more or less) explicitly contained within scripture for the Reformers. However, the Catholics, the Eastern Orthodox, the Copts and the Anglicans (for the most part) do not accept _sola scriptura_ . I think that the finest theologians would agree with Abdal Hakim that the Incarnation is _not_ explicitly stated in scripture; but I think that many would acknowledge that it is implied. In the Gospel of John, for instance, Thomas says to the risen Christ "My Lord and my God". Its important to understand the Greek to comprehend the full significance of this exclamation. The Greek says "ho kyrios mu ho theos mu". Thus the Greek for "lord" and for "God" here contains the definite article (the lord, the God). When the definite article is applied to "lord" and "God" in Greek it means God in the absolute sense of that term. For instance, in the Septuagint YHWH is replaced by "ho kyrios", whereas other "lords" are referred to _without_ the definite article. So, it does look as though Thomas is saying to Christ: you are God. There are other hints and suggestions in the NT as well; but since this comment is getting rather long I better move to another point. Professor Larry Hurtado, amongst others, has shown that the earliest Christians _worshipped_ Jesus: that means the apostles worshipped Jesus alongside the One God of Israel. Thus, the worship of Jesus is not a later Hellenic aberration, but a first century Jewish phenomena. And, finally, one could argue that the development of doctrine from the originally "seeds" contained within the belief and practice of the early Christians is legitimate. One can see how Nicea and Chalcedon might _logically_ develop from (1) the belief that Christ and the Holy Spirit save us (2) that the early church worshipped Christ alongside God (3) and that there are innumerable hints and suggestions in scripture that Christ was more than a man.
Complex though these issues are, and inadequate though my response is, yet nonetheless I think this might be the _beginning_ of a response.

I always wanted to know the answer of that question, what happens to Christian infants who die .
As per the Vatican website , there is a document answering this questions and in a nutshell the Christian fathers say that unbaptized infants go to hell but the Vatican thinks that “most probably” they won’t go to hell and this is what they hope but not confirmed .
What caught my attention is the Vatican statement “There is much that simply has not been revealed to us” and they refer to John 16:12 .
12“I have much more to tell you, but now it would be too much for you to bear. 13 When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth.
If I could help the Vatican I would answer them that the spirit of truth came and gave us the Muslims the answer for that !
    Part of the article :
So great was Augustine's authority in the West, however, that the Latin Fathers (e.g., Jerome, Fulgentius, Avitus of Vienne, and Gregory the Great) did adopt his opinion. Gregory the Great asserts that God condemns even those with only original sin on their souls; even infants who have never sinned by their own will must go to “everlasting torments”. He cites Job 14:4-5 (LXX), John 3:5, and Ephesians 2:3 on our condition at birth as “children of wrath”.[42]
    End of the article :
Our conclusion is that the many factors that we have considered above give serious theological and liturgical grounds for hope that unbaptised infants who die will be saved and enjoy the Beatific Vision. We emphasise that these are reasons for prayerful hope, rather than grounds for sure knowledge. There is much that simply has not been revealed to us (cf. Jn 16:12). We live by faith and hope in the God of mercy and love who has been revealed to us in Christ, and the Spirit moves us to pray in constant thankfulness and joy (cf. 1 Thess 5:18).
