You'll hardly ever see a bull hauler sitting in a truck stop. unless its Amarillo LOL.I haul cows for 10 yrs..and watching this videos making me start looking for gears
Im a cattle hauler. Its decent money, I make more then a potato chip hauler! More miles you run, and cattle you haul. The more the money. Spite the fact, your rig is gonna smell like cow shit after awhile, but its a part of the job! I was used to it, growin up on a ranch and going on the road with my dad. Cattle haulin is a good business and I wouldn't haul anything else :) Hope this helps! Hammer down and keep on truckin!!
man i miss my bull hauling days. I had a '93 flat top pete 300" wheelbase pearl white with powder blue accents. Alabama to Bar-G feed lots in Hereford,Tx
There was a mid sized company in the middle 80's that also ran a small bull hauling operation. and one day a trainee waited to see the boss. He said he had been passed by one of his bull haulers doing everything that truck would do, at least 90/MPH". The owner looked up at the kid and said "your kidding me" and called the shop saying "Is 90mph all that truck will do? Turn that sucker up so it can run! He told the kid "drop a dime again, and your fired!" I miss the 80's
hey thanks for the reply, i was always wonderin cause any bullhauler ive ever seen has had a nice chromed out rig, so i figured it payed pretty decent, keep on truckin buddy, keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down!!
I think it was between 06 and 08, from what I remember. I was owner operator before you guys but then when the economy went shit I looked for work and found out about you guys from a guy I used to run with, and then I went back to what I did after a couple years with Kness.
Yeah pays good. Its a lifestyle, and your born with it. Just like being a cowboy, your born with it. I actually worked with Kness Trucking for about 2 years, good company, but now Ive been owner operator for 15 years. Run the western states, from Wyoming, to Texas and part of the Midwest. Its a good life and job. Good luck on your journey to what you wanna do!
nice petes matey dont ya drive kenworths over there what do you think of our cattle crates we have one alluminium will get a picture of it for you to see cheers mate hoped ya liked my slide show
Thanks for reply, lost my other account. Indiana im not sure about, try considering Iowa, Kentucky, The dakotas, Oklahoma, Texas, or out West here. For cattle hauling or grain.
Hey man I have my CDL do you need another driver? I have done flatbed and over sized loads.. but when I did over size I was running with a couple bull wagons. I'm ready to get back in a truck
@lewdog12 Really depends on how big they are. Space-wise, up to 52 or or fat cattle will fit in a 53' spread. ;) Do that though, and you'll be weighing over 100k. lol A spread in IA is only legal for 86k.
You know anyone out here near northern Indiana that hauls cattle and might needs a driver. I'd rather stop dragging vans around and do something that's probably going to pay better and make me happier
Bullhaulers and those hauling swinging swine and beef rock. Hats off to you.
