Hike to Johnson Falls in the BWCA

This one getting close to the end of our first boundary waters trip. We were camping at BWCA site708 and went to the Canoe lake Portage, then we walked the portage to Pine Lake, and then walked the trail to the falls.
The portage from Canoe Lake to Pine was no joke. Up hill the whole way and a long hike. we left our canoes at the portage, but out of the way. Really would love to spend some time on Pine lake but maybe another day. Smallie bite was great and in Canoe is attached to Paddle lake, and was some walleye caught buy my uncle and cousin for some shore lunch great hike.
we went out of bearskin lodge, and they were great outfitters. I would recommend you bring a canoe seat of your own, the ones you rent are not very good. You will want the support at any age.
