Thank you so much for doing all the hard work for us, Chi. I really enjoyed this video! I’ve watched you for a while now and to see that you have over 400,000 subscribers now does not surprise me one bit❤
i remember this one night i was scrolling aimlessly, feeling like i had hit rock bottom. it felt like nothing i wanted was ever going to happen for me. i don’t know why, but i clicked on this link about the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and something about it drew me in. the more i read, the more i felt like it was written just for me. it’s wild how much a single book can change your perspective.
You look great in all of these outfits. I’m 5’3” and curvy, so I was never happy wearing jeans until I got the high waisted style with straight legs in petite lengths. Now I love wearing jeans, and I have them in several different colors and can dress them up or down for any occasion. Thanks for sharing your experience and ideas for the shorter people out here. You do a great job. 👏
This is your best video!!! I was so confused about length and shoes, inseams, etc. and you explained everything so well! I can go thru my jeans in my closet and weed out what I can save, and what I can toss, and now when I shop I am more educated. I am petite, 5’-1” Asian, usually a size 8-10, and S or M, large boned, muscular side, 143 lbs. I also love that your videos are very accepting of all body types and weights. I never feel body shamed watching your videos…Thank You!
I am petite but I have short torso long legs.. 5'3". I recently bought several pair of jeans in different washes. I bought black Levi jeans straight leg jeans. Straight leg jeans fit me best. For flare leg I have to get petite length or short because it will be too long otherwise. I like high waisted jeans.
Ten years ago or so when I first discovered Quince, I thought they would eventually stomp out most of their competitors, and they are. The combination of high quality (mostly natural-fiber*) fabrics, good design and construction, large selection of colors, sizes, lengths, etc., and very low prices just can’t be beaten. I love everything I’ve bought from them; mostly silk, cashmere and cotton clothing, and their fine jewelry, leather bags, footwear and clothing. When I had to buy a whole new wardrobe after losing 50 lbs., Quince made it possible for me to do so over a year (I bought for each season as it rolled around to get the best selection at all brands). I have no affiliation with this or any other brand, I’m just a regular shopper who loves this brand. *I think they might use synthetics in their stretchy gym/athletic clothes as all brands do, but that’s not a category I shop - I just wear regular cotton shorts and tanks for exercise.
I love this video! I haven't shopped at JCrew and AT before, and I'll probably look into those as well! I personally buy jeans from American Eagle in X-Short since my inseam is also 24" and I don't buy anything beyond 26" 😊
She is the size she is. How can she model a larger size? There are other you tubers who are larger petites. 😊 Style with Cathy is one I can think of. Do a you tube search.
@@denisedorsey2889 Thanks for the suggestion. In the past, she has featured other petites. You are right, this is her point of view, a size 2 Who is 5’ 2”. I will follow your advice and find a petite like me😀
Hi Chi. Thank you for the video. I Like the Quince jeans on you the best. I surprisingly have Madewell straight leg in black and white that Iare the most comfortable and I think flattering on me. Someone in the comments also mentioned Joe's jeans and they are good on me also. Thank you for the info on pairing with sweaters and jackets. I am size 0 jeans but am C cup and feel the double breasted jackets are not flattering on me. I love the light wash jeans and that California look but the black and darker washes are so much more flattering. I like the recap you did of all the selections. You give so much content in short time. Your channel is amazing!❤ 0:00
I just bought a great pair of wide leg jeans from Loft (Petite Sailor High Rise Wide Leg Crop Jeans in Vintage Indigo Wash) I'm 5'1 122 lbs and I went with the petite 28(6) I also find a great selection of jeans from Talbots I have several slim ankle jeans and slim straight ankle jeans. Another brand that I've discovered recently that I really like is Chico's, the so slimming petite girlfriend jeans are one of my favorites.
Thanks Chi for putting this video together! Very helpful for petites. Another brand you might look at is Old Navy. I have bought a few pairs and they all look nice on me. They have petite sizes and many different cuts.
Thank you for sharing your suggestions for us short legged ladies. I don't like any type of ankle pants . I liked the length of the white jeans, I don't wear white . So it would be blue or black. Turtle neck sweaters/shirts make it look like I've got no neck, not to mention I feel like I'm being choked😂 I love crop jackets 😊 These look good on me! I don't really button my jackets . Love most of these suggestions. I like the fact that these are suggestions that fit my frame. It gives me ideas for a wardrobe that I like and fits me . Thank you
Thank you for this video. I have been searching for wide leg jeans for awhile but they make me look like Gumby. I am going to try some of the ones in this video.
I'm in the Greater Houston area and the season for jeans is short. I have settled on jeans I can wear with ankle boots. A sort of 'cowboy' look that's always in style here. And...I don't ride. It's kind of an urban cowboy look that's popular here to wear in February for Go Western Day, the first day of the Rodeo.
Thanks for the advice. Also, you might look at the Tahari brand jeans. There are several styles and washes. I've found that the regular length jeans are a really nice fit for me at 5' and the stretchy denim feels silky. You looked great in the Levi jeans that are your favorite, but the Banana Republic wide leg jeans are also a great look.
Ugh.. struggle of short Asians…including myself 😩 I recommend checking out kids size. I got black wide jeans from Old Navy for $3! and they like your Banana Republic black wise jeans.
I don’t understand ankle jeans. I think it cuts off the length and makes us look shorter with that gap of skin showing. It looks better if they touch the top of our foot.
That confuses me too. I thought a longer length is more elongating than having that strip of ankle showing it’s just another horizontal line that cuts you off and now they’re saying it’s better to have that strip of skin showing, so which is it?
My ankles get cold unless it's summer time. I wear ankle length jeans mainly with boots or booties in a similar color. Otherwise I do feel they make my legs look shorter.
Since a lot of these have raw hems, so wouldn't it be easier to just find pants that have the desired rise and cut to the inseam to the length you want? Seems like it would be easier than worrying about the rise AND the inseam.

Banana republic don’t exist in Europe anymore so bummed about that. I always need to get petite sized jeans. Options are rather limited. Levi’s don’t suit me. I’m even shorter at 151cm. Mango, Zara and H&M have great designs and good (Mango and Zara) to great (H&M) prices, but the barrier for me is their use of synthetic fibers, which I just can’t wear, even in blends. Occasionally I’ll find a natural-fiber item I love at one of these brands, which is great. I completely stopped shopping at Zara because its US website doesn’t show the fabric composition anymore. When I contacted customer service, they said “it’s right there, you can see it”, but it isn’t and I can’t. It took ages to get them to just tell me the composition, I’m not going through all that again for another purchase! Generally I have to shop Premium brands to get the natural fibers I need, but these clothes and accessories cost at least two to three times more. While the prices can pinch a bit, this isn’t all a bad thing, it forces me to purchase much more thoughtfully and carefully, and the clothes are much higher quality, better-designed, -fitting and -constructed and have much greater overall look and longevity. Same here. It almost says “Hey, you’re paying the same for these jeans, but we’ve increased our bottom line by not bothering to hem them.” And then they have the gall to tell you it’s a style move. One good thing, if they’re too long just get your scissors out.
You just create unreal problem and sell to the women a solution to unreal problem you invited. @ОляД-л8у The average height for a woman in Canada is 5'5. Nobody is saying there is something wrong with 5'1. But the fact is the clothing is designed for 5'5 and do not fit me. If you go to Japan, for example, the clothing is designed fit smaller people, so yes, you can be 5'1 and have no problems there. We are just talking about clothes.
@@ОляД-л8у Average height for women in the USA is 5’4 inches. Non petit pants on US stores are cut for women 5’6 height or taller with average torso length wearing moderate heels. Yes it is ‘normal’ to be 5’1 or 5’2 in the US but pants and sleeves will generally be too long
There are jeans with lots of stretch! Don't give up on looking good. There are also sweat-type pants that are pretty dressy (ones that don't bunch at the bottom but are straight).
