I'm a little sad you said "glamping = fancy camping" I think you could have explained the portmanteau pretty easily, glamorous camping. Looks like you had a blast & AC too !!
That was fun seeing you come across a abandoned place! I watch youtubers who explore abandoned places and it always amazes me no graffiti like is here in the states in Japan. Another great upload!
Good morning all! 🌻 Just wanted to say this video had alot of exciting energy to it! Watching you two together is so much fun your always bouncing off eachothers laughter and excitement it was alot of fun to watch! ❤❤
The round tent like structure is a Yurt/Ger (depending on language). It is a traditional housing for nomadic people in Asia (particularly in Mongolia). These are obviously more modern and westernized than the traditional models.
I almost stayed here during my trip in February! I really wanted to go camping while I was there but it was a little cold and I would have had to buy/rent the gear for just one night so I ended up staying in a hotel really close to Fuji-Q and got a great view of Fuji anyway
Ah those poor marshmallows. Open flame roasting (in daylight) leads to flaming objects. Your excellent video had a glowing ember stage (super dark sky helps) of the fire. Your marshmallows were calling you to skewer them up then! And Sarah’s slow roast method gives best golden brown results. Embers, dark, patience.
Great video guys! Response to your question…I was a Girl Guide (in Australia), and our motto was also, ‘Be Prepared!’…husband and wife (the Powels), actually created the Scouts and Girl Guides, so they have very much the same sayings, mottos and rules 😃 Also…personal a pinion, most people eat the burnt bit on marshmallows, it tastes really good 😁 Haha until now, I have never seen anyone pull the burnt bit off with their fingers, usually it’s just eaten layer by melty layer, with your mouth, and just keep melting and eating layers until it is finished yum! 😋😆
Loved this one!!! Cant wait to go back to yamanashi and fuji kawaguchiko. My fave spot in all of japan. I was there in early march 2020 before pandemic hit. Im going back to japan next year with my wife and ill show her how awesome that area is!
I love Alyssa's little informational blurbs. Also, that marshmallow was perfect! I set mine on fire and let the entire outside blacken, then eat it all in one go. I can make a perfect golden brown one, but I much prefer burned. :)
Hey Sarah, did you notice with editing (19:36) that the cloud above mount fuji kind of looked like a cute little heart ❤🗻 what a cute ending to a fun video. 😊
We just came back from a three-week trip to Japan! We went to the town of Fujimiya around the third week of August. The morning started off overcast, but I'm happy to say that the weather cleared by mid-day and we got a full, clear view of Fuji-san in all its glory! Our original plan was to take a round trip on the ferry across Suruga Bay from Shizuoka to Toi and back, but with the threat of typhoon, decided to head inland instead. Seeing Mt. Fuji at all was a big question mark with the weather, but I'm glad we gambled on it as it really paid off. We visited the Fujisan Sengen Shrine there, where pilgrims traditionally begin their journey to the top of the mountain, walked around the town a bit, had a nice lunch at this lovely open-air food market near the shrine entrance. We had Fujiyaki, which is the local variant on yakisoba, some locally styled oden, and (the highlight) some amazing kakigori made with matcha from locally sourced tea. It was prepared in a similar way to the fancy tea shops in Kyoto but was about half the price! Totally worth it. We ended our afternoon at the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, which has an excellent exhibit devoted to Fuji-san, and has a rooftop patio where visitors can get a spectacular view of the mountain rising above the town of Fujimiya. I highly recommend this as a place to visit. As a further blessing, we were able to see Mt. Fuji out our window on our flight from Itami to Haneda on our way to catch our connecting flight back home. We were able to take some great photos and videos both times. It was awesome! If anyone else wants to try this, make sure you're seated on the correct side of the plane so that you can see the mountain without too much disruption.
This was so much fun! I'm glad Fuji made an appearance for you guys! ⛰ The marshmallow roasting gave me a craving lol... I absolutely love to set the marshmallow on fire until it's partially charred on the outside and gooey on the inside but I eat the char instead of picking it off haha 🔥
I got a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji from the top of the Izu rope way. It’s not too far from Atami, but don’t miss your bus from the station to the base of the rope way!
I love the GeoDomes , I would like to buy some land here in Florida and build one to live in. And I don’t know if you know or not, and if you’re into it, but each one of them vibrated a different frequency. Because you can get different size ones, and they’re really good for yoga and doing meditation and stuff like that, but just to live in them is amazing ❤
I cheated. I know you will see Fuji because I came straight from Lyssa's video 😄 This looks like such a great trip. So glad Lyssa caught your scream when the bug used your head as a chair LMAO
Your card drop is an actual card game called "52 ramasse" in french-canadien... "52 pick-up", a game played when yo lose constantly at poker to your friend and you throw all the cards at him/her/them... 😁
Nice video! Looks like a lot of fun! Surprised that there was no reference to Yuru Camp (aka Laid Back Camp). BTW BBQ is done via a smoker, not a gas grill.....
You can totally eat the burnt part of the marshmallow haha. I do prefer to "brown toast" them but sometimes the marshmallow catches on fire after all that patience and work, haha. My son burns them over and over and pulls off and eats the burnt stuff :) haha. One of our friends is the "smore queen" and brings all this weird stuff to put on your smore. Peanut butter cups are really good. :) The (American) girl scout Motto is also "Be prepared", actually :) My son is now a Boy scout and they also have the Outdoor code that talks about leaving things cleaner then you left them, so they are similar :)
I admit to being an impatient kid, so often just set my marshmallows on fire and then quickly blew them out. I didn’t mind the char, so not inedible to me. :-)
We are planning a trip from Sydney in January 2026. Since it will be winter then, do you think it’s worth planning a day of catching the Shinkansen from Tokyo to try and see Mt Fuji and the visitor centre?
I've always wanted to try glamping, one more thing checked off the Japan bucket list! 🏕 Next time I'll go camping near Fuji!
Or climb fuji?
I'm a little sad you said "glamping = fancy camping" I think you could have explained the portmanteau pretty easily, glamorous camping. Looks like you had a blast & AC too !!
give me that marshmallow I want to have one
Thanks for having me along! I stand by my marshmallow roasting skills!!
Burnt marshmallows are the best!!
two videos with Seera and Lyssa this morning??? YAY!!!!!! best youtube morning ever
Alysa and Sara vlogs combo'd!!!!! YAAASSS!!!!!
As a former boy scout they did tell us when camping to leave places cleaner then when you found them.
Glamping = Glamorous Camping 😃😃
I love Alyssa's delivery of her jokes and commentary haha
That was fun seeing you come across a abandoned place! I watch youtubers who explore abandoned places and it always amazes me no graffiti like is here in the states in Japan. Another great upload!
It was one of the few times that’s happened so was fun to come across it 😮
Great seeing Lyssa again. You two make great content together.

One of my favorite videos so far Seerasan... what a nice video to watch, it looks like you both had a great time gampling
7:42 - Your marshmallow sticks actually expand out. I bought myself an official one in a little set for my fire pit.

I had phenomenal luck with clear skies in November in Yamanakako seeing Fuji. Stunning!

Alyssa saying Hi then appearing in the mirror as you close the door is The Cinema. I love the abandoned area and the backing music. Creepy!

Fun Video, always great to see you two together.
Glad you guys got a great morning view!
What a fun video! @seerasan, you and Alyssa have great chemistry.
So excited for this video ^^ Hope you're doing good Seerasan and everyone! ^^
Going great! Hope you’re having a good week 🎉
Thanks for a lovely relaxing video! It's just starting to get warm where I live in Australia so your video made me want to get outside.
Awesome trip. Looked fun. My kiwi friend in Japan used to make fun of my american accent too! She used to say I sounded like a cartoon character 😮😂

I stayed a couple of days at a hotel in the Lake Kawaguchiko area; definitely want to go back and explore more of that area!

@15+min. We can tell both o'y'all were being free ✨️ great vid
such a cozy video
@5:45 also any season early morning is the best chance to get a good view of mountains before sunlight condenses clouds trapped around them ;)
I love Alyssa!
Luv This!! Thank You!😄 your colabs are always excellent!
lovely. I wish to try that campsite one day...
This what I need, another vacation ahaha. Nice vid girls. Happy birthday Sarah btw. 🎉
amazing
A cute trip for two ladies
From Shibuya store manager

I used to always catch my marshmallow on fire like that. Mmm, burnt sugar.
Nice activity to spend in the summer. Hope we can be friends as a fellow foreigners in Japan
I got a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji from the top of the Izu rope way. It’s not too far from Atami, but don’t miss your bus from the station to the base of the rope way!
Looks very futuristic and luxurious! Seems to be nice place for summer time activities!

Thought it was going to turn into blair witch project with that creepy music! 😅
What a fun trip! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching 😊

Really enjoying the aussie / American banter 😊

I was wondering when you would figure out those forks extend!😂
Omg the accomidation looks absolutely incredible!
A fellow RE7 enjoyer nice
Nice video! Looks like a lot of fun! Surprised that there was no reference to Yuru Camp (aka Laid Back Camp). BTW BBQ is done via a smoker, not a gas grill.....
That was fun!
Not sure i would've been as brave eating that more or less crucified marshmallow Lyssa 😂
ナイスナイス‼️‼️
Love the chaotic energy when you two get together

Yamanashi hype!!!
truly glamp, when there is an AC unit.
Yup 😂
Japan is sort modern when it comes to camping
The Outdoor Code is leave a place better than you found it. We were taught that in Scouting also
Interesting.

So kawaii!
On the glamping thing. Did you watch "Evil does not exist"? A good movie.
Great fun. Maybe I can find a similar experience here in BC.❤
Hey hey hey! I also approve and love of burnt marshmallows!!! Chard baby! Maybe it's an american thing...
Ohhyeee!! hahahaha
⛰️ ⛺️ 🌲
This was like the complete opposite of watching Yuru Camp. Hehe.
Lmao pretty accurate
Kawaguchiko is where they put that huge tarpolin up right in front of the Lawsons so no one can take a pic of Mt Fuji, did i get that right?
I would call that "gazebo" a camp kitchen
Why is the bbq in the ked? 😂
❤
Ked works.
Trust this country boy -- it's not an outhouse. You don't want to cook food in an outhouse.
Ked sounds much better than Shitchen.
If these Japanese tents can take typhoon... Maybe US needs it for housing crisis. 😅
16:34 Imagine watching your videos back closely, and you see someone looking out behind those curtains...
🫣
Hi! I wish to join 😂😂😂
Ah cool, those domes are Polish. I was going to buy some.
Hope to stay in a dome with you😊
It is luxurious
Wow UNO it is tarot time. I have one. Hope to have a call
p.s. I am poor.
0:50 this looks like the pod homes in the original Pokémon games or is it more Dragon Ball
Post a photo from the top!
Is this campsite open in late fall?
zamzam water
My only question-is there AC in that glamping room?
Yuru Camp
If only wed stop trying to be happy wed have a pretty good time.
oh oh! I don't think that fire got started lol ;) You guys needed some tinder to get it going ;D
Sarah and Lyssa.....two dangerous girls😅😅😅!!!
No Fuji
🗻👀
Yeah, I failed.
Why do you roast marshmallows before eating them ?
日本では、あまり焼いて食べませんねぇ。
一番、日本らしい花火は「線香花火」だと思います♩
Great video!
5:22 - 6:55 Is it just me or the background track's bass is way too strong? It's making my ears buzz
7:11s Alyssa wielding a burnt as shit marshmallow and face covered in molten hot marshmallow. Life, uh, finds a way.
13:35 boomer moment
Godzilla Glamping 😂
It’s my birthday today are you able to wish me happy birthday
Happy bday 🥳
@@seerasan OMG thank you so much!
I never expected this!
Sarah you are so beautiful
