- Not wanting to pay almost 600 bucks for the Daymaker headlight from Harley Davidson, I rolled the dice on the Eagle Lights version for 179.99 via Amazon, or www.eaglelites.com.
Please note that against my best intentions, I mixed the photos at the end. LED low beam is actually the high beam picture and vice versa! I am NOT a mechanic! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

I've yet to night test it, but as soon as the weather cooperates I'll vlog it. I can't believe the difference in price, and the Eagle unit is hefty, not cheap feeling.
Hey, I have been following your Chanel for last few months.
My 17 CVO Street Glide came with Daymaker LED head lamp. Last weekend I just installed & finished my project HD custom auxiliary passing lamps (you have seen it on ultra classic) with LED Daymaker. Man, what a difference ~ a BIG difference.
I highly recommend to your bike and I am certain you will love it too.

Just picked up the Eagle LED headlight for my 06 Heritage Softail Classic. Fantastic LED at a reasonable price along with the lifetime warranty. Need to order the same for my passing lights now.

Much better. I have yet to ride my 20117 Ultra at night . Now I've seen that I must get a night ride in to see how good they are.
Agreed! The temp is high enough in the morning that I may ride the bike to work and vlog the test. I had converted my 05 Ultra to all Daymaker, and loved it. I'm interested to see what the single light and Dynamic Ringz can do!

Did you have any problems with radio interference?
Have a 2017 ultra and couldn't believe that they still install incandescent bulbs in turns and fender brake lights. First thing I did was install Custom Dynamics. Very bright and should not have to worry about bulb lights burning out.

I don't understand it either, especially when Harley sells their own LED lights as well as Custom Dynamics. I swapped every light in the 05 Ultra, including fender tips to LED.

Amazing that they don't put the DayMaker on the SGs! You make it look easy to install. I like the LED lighting, so that might be a project for this year.
Maybe even extra lighting for the engine and under the bike somehow. The more lighting the better!
It is very easy to install, and I agree that Harley should have put it on the SGS standard. It is the top of the line SG, afterall. I'm toying with the idea of frame and engine lighting, but I want to ask local law enforcement about it first. I get conflicting views via the interwebs.

I skipped that part, but the top is marked with "SAE DOT". I didn't test before I put it all back together. That would have been a bummer had it not worked!
I’m looking to change my day maker headlight because it fogs up and doesn’t go away, have you had any problems with the eagle light?
I've not had any problems at all with the Eagle. I'm sure there are better lights out there, like the upscale offerings from Custom Dynamics and the like, but Eagle is a budget win for me.

Hey man.. I have a 2000 sportster 883. I am trying to install a LED daymaker but theres not enough space inside the headlamp housing because of all the wires in there. Any tips on how to make that work?
I haven't attempted to put one on my 05 Sporty yet, but I've heard that the wiring can be tight. There are some videos of guys putting LED headlights on Sportsters, perhaps they could give you an idea of how to deal with that. Thanks for watching!

They do chrome as well, and you may need harnesses or adapters for the Ultra or Sporty. I'm planning on adding a chrome one to my Sportster!
Hi, great video, glad to be joining your TH-cam journey. I was thinking about fitting a daymaker headlight to my 97' Electra Glide, but was told that the new light generates too much heat so wouldn't be good. Did you or have you had any problems with that on your bike?

Thanks for watching, Ed. You've probably made the call long ago by now, but I don't have a heating issue at all with the LED setup. Now on older bikes, like your 97, there may be issues because they have to use an adapter to marry the new unit to you bikes' wiring, but that just a space management issue, not heat. They draw less power than the stock unit, so that's a win.
HarleyTrek Thanks for that, well there's only one thing for it then.....I've gotta fit it and find out! I'll let you know if I come across any issues. The unit I bought came with the adapter for the loom, so as you say.....it's a win

were did you get your dynamic ring front turn signals at???
I bought them directly from Custom Dynamics, via their website. Other places carry them, but the pricing isn't any better.
One more thing , you mentioned that you already replaced your Turn Signal lights. How are they working for you ? I would like to replace mine also but was thinking of going with the eagle turn signal Led lights. Do you think they are about the same ? Eagle and and I believe Custom Dynamic. Thx
I did replace the turns, the rear fender light and tail light. I went with the Custom Dynamics brand as I had them with the Ultra Classic and couldn't have been happier. They work flawlessly, and as stated by Moose3971 during the MiniHoot of 2017, "Dude, your rear lights are f*#king bright!"

I didn't do an install video for the Custom Dynamics, mainly because they are so easy. The company already has great install videos on TH-cam, just do a search! You will love them!
Nice video, but I was wondering why you didn't test the light before you put it all back together? Could have saved you a lot of frustration if the light had failed to work. Sometimes we get lucky.

It's a lot brighter than my Harley Daymaker too because the one i bought is Generation 3 :)
Just found your channel .Thanks for sharing. You answered your own question, though. Why would H-D "give" led lighting when customers line up to pay $600? I have ridden H-d for 47 years. I do not grace the front door of a dealer unless absolutely necessary. MoCo screws the dealer, dealer screws the customer.

The high beam low beam visual would have been more beneficial if you would have done it outside during hours of darkness. Otherwise, good video, thank you.
The instructions say to remove the main fuse . Did u. If so do u remove it and place it back ????
I saw that directive in the instructions, but ignored it. It lives under the left side engine cover if memory serves. The one thing to remember is that there is a harness adapter you have to buy in addition and that there will be a harness adapter already in use that will need to be unclipped and removed from the headlight plug.

Have you heard of moto illumination? Check them out sometime if you'd like. I've gotten a 7" light from them and it works fantastic! Has a halo ring on the outside as well.
Do you think it's brighter than daymaker? if it is brighter i will get it too :)
It's at least as bright. The only comparison I have is the Ultra, which had Daymakers in all three forward lights. Stupid bright!

RON JANISCH Not at all! It may appear blue at the emitters but it’s bright white on the road.
Did you ever figure out what the two extra wires are for? I wonder if its for the garage door opener?
That's a valid theory. Personally, I think they are for different configurations, like a light with a halo ring, or other lighted accessories.
I emailed the company and they wont not comment what they were for, they said they are not used on 2014 and up
I just got another email from them, stating they have not tested it with the garage door opener, the extra wires are for road king models.. I really like when people get back to you, seems like a great company!

Thanks for watching! I've had absolutely no issues out of the headlight. I can't tell the difference from the HD brand. I do believe that it could come up a bit, but I haven't checked the level of the light pattern yet. I wasn't sponsored, or given any concession by the company, and I do recommend it. If I do develop any problems, I will post a video about it.

Or you can take the route I took and get a Road Glide ha ha - TWO headlights right from the factory. Yeah, there is no way I would pay anywhere near 600 bucks for a freakin' headlight, that is just nuts. Hope your new light works out for you.

OEM headlight is terrible, lol. I put the Truck Lite 7" LED on my switchback, fits fine and is a huge difference. I feel ya, lol

Little late, but, good video, i'm in the process of getting the Eagle LED headlight and passing lights for my Road King Custom. One thing, you might have done, mention a thick quilt, or blanket on the top of the front fender isn't a bad idea. Drop a screw driver and you'll never forgive your self. Great video though.
B Brown Agreed 100 percent! I even had a thick towel to use for a fender shield and never picked the thing up! I’m still very happy with the headlight after two years with it and would buy it again. Now I’ve just come to realize that Broncoride has left this light behind in favor of a different manufacturer. Be sure to check his channel out as well!

Yeow! That's a painful proposition for sure! I can happily report that I have had not one single issues out of this light, and I've turned several of my friends and viewers onto it. None have complained...to me at least!
