    Hey thanks buddy. Christmas indeed arrived early. It's awesome to finally see a crisp edition of this game. Even with Jeff Kemp at QB, the 49ers soared in Miami, and the defense played lights out. Marino after his rookie year victory against the 49ers went 0-4 the rest of his career including one being the Super Bowl. All in four different venues, and all basically blowout wins for the 49ers. Two of which didn't even have Joe Montana or Steve Young playing. I'm sure tracking this down, and doing the cut-ups wasn't easy, so I appreciate the effort. Much love NFL Throwback :D

    Bill Walsh was basically the Bill Belichick of the 80s as the 49ers were basically the Patriots of the 80s. The only difference is that Bill Belichick’s genius was defensive oriented whereas Walsh’s genius was offensive oriented. Because they had such a fine oiled system, a guy like Joe Montana could miss most of the season because of injury and they could just plug in another quarterback who obviously is not Montana, but could maintain the offense in a way to where they could still win games and compete.

  • @larryinNH
    @larryinNH ปีที่แล้ว +10

    It’s still so hard to believe Marino never got back to a Super Bowl. I remember looking at it the same way I viewed Elway and the Broncos. As great as the quarterback is, you have to take the ball out of his hands once in a while. Elway eventually had a great running back in Terrel Davis. Marino never had that. Back then I honestly felt that Marino had too much ego and too much control and say over the game plan.

      Jimmy Johnson came over from Dallas and wanted Marino to take a lesser role for the better of the team, but Marino was having NONE of it. Marino was a better passer than Bradshaw, Staubach, or Elway. But not as a winning QB, Marino consistently proved that he couldn't operate under pressure. His offensive line had to be in a dominating position before he could complete passes. This is why Marino failed to win a SB. Elway lost a few SBs but his team was clearly overwhelmed and Elway didn't commit foolish errors like the Bill's QB did in their 4 SB defeats.

I mean look at the roster comparison between these 2 teams Miami had no shot in this game. @@anthony2b173 no I’m not casual fan. I’ve been a huge fan since the 1980s. Marino never scared me in December/January. He always started 3-1 or 4-0 in September by December he was scraping the bottom of the playoff barrel. He was never a playoff qb. Let’s be real. Stop dreaming about Marino playing like joe Montana or John elway. He never did.

      @@357twilson dude are you on some serious drugs. He had at the time the best coach in the league history (Don Shula). Dan Marino was another Philip Rivers. Let’s be real. He was mr September. By December he was fighting for a wild card spot while joe Montana and John elway had top spots locked up.
