LIKE IF YOU AGREE WITH ME,BUT PLEASE READ THE WHOLE COMMENT BEFORE LIKEING. Nick Maxwell is the AUTO KING! He hit that mat every time but what do you expect he flew with the greatness known as Curtis Youngblood who is a legend in his own wright, He also was a AUTO KING back in the good ole days and I bet he could out auto any of the new up and comers. I just wish we could still get RADIX BLADES and Rave RC helicopters oh and who could forget the first 3d able quad copter called the sting ray. But unfortunately because of those pesky little FPV quad copters a lot of real rc helicopter manufacturers are going bust because people aren't as interested in RC Heli's any more. Oh and quad copters are so much easier to control because the flight controller is doing all the work where as when you fly a real RC heli you need some practise and skill to pull some nice 3D acrobatics off. SAVE THE HUMBLE RC HELI & DOWN WITH THE QUAD COPTER, BOOOOOOOOO! TO THE QUAD COPTER. Pete.
zeemanjr my 2c - fpv has nothing to do with the status of the Heli market. RC hobbies in general are down quite a bit. But helis especially because they are the most difficult to fly and start out with. Mainly RC hobbies are up against many ways for people to spend their leisure time. Video games, VR, movies, etc. Also in my area most of the clubs have collapsed. Closed by cities. Here I think the fear of the Best Buy drones has driven a negative opinion of RC by law makers. This has done a lot more damage vs the guys doing FPV. Specifically FPV racing is very niche as well. The consumer “photo drones” are the ones directly harming RC (not just helis).
Yes I agree with that but you must admit that because quad copters are so cheap and easy to fly they have had a negative effect on the RC heli market and the fact that any joe blow can get there hands on a e.g DJI Mavic PRO charge the battery and fly it within 2hrs of purchasing it and not knowing the rules of model flight and it gives people like us who follow the rules a bad name. Pete.
And that's why Nick is one of the pilot's pilots. No matter how good you get, Nick is always that little bit better.
Showoff!!! J/K. Nick is one of the best out there. Those were just some insane autos.
